its a long process, i dont remember it fully, but, you have to get to the pokemon league area by moving 5 or 6 times, and then get to it again, thus moving another 5 or 6 times, then you have a one in 47 or 37 chance of finding a mew...its very hard and long...

ok, ive got the proper version now, i knew i missed something
defeat the mewtwo bonus stage twice (that means you have to bea the other two twice too)
go to the indego plateau,
and then its 1 in 16 chance of finding mew...

yes, i sometimes have trouble with it too...you only have 2 minutes and you have to collect three items/stones, and then get the ball in the hole, but first you have to hit the targets which can be bogus...
advise, if you hit a bogus target, go round the big loop as fast as you can...that will let you hit another one straight away...
learn how the hit the ball so it hits the targets (this will take a bit of experience)...
and go for the hardest targets first, because you will probably hit the easier ones in the process of trying...
