Well, since so many people have somehow gotten their hands on a copy of this game, lets start the progress early, shall we? Just say how far you are in the game. This'll stay up till the forum dies out, I guess.

Oh, I've just gotten through Gym 1 after having it for a bit. I've decided to fight everyone and everything in my path. Plus, I'm training my team up legit for once. :|

Damn I gotta wait until Thursday until Australia releases the pokemon games out. But I have a question, what pokemon should I catch along the way on going to the first gym? Is there like any flying types?

Gym 1 depends on your starter. Since you fight the Trio Gym Leaders, they fight you with your weakness of your starter. So, you should obtain their weakness from the Abandoned Lot or whatever it is, to counter. And there is a Pidove to the left of the city, but you need the badge to get there.
Also: Roggenrola has evolved just after Gym 2 challenge ended. Now I have this:

Yeah I was intending to get Oshawott and get a flying type to beat the first gym badge with the flying type... looks like my plans are ruined.

not really Cyndevia you can still get a good pokemon if you look around before fighting the first gym

I'm changing my team around, although I'm taking a short break. Still in Pinwheel forest searching for Pansear. Also, SS, I can't help out at the moment for you getting Zorua. Not really in the best of moods now that I've learned a close family friend was murdered by her own child..

You can find the monkeys by going into the moving grass if that helps.
Right now I only have Tepig as my battle Pokemon. Though I'm looking for a good natured Roggenrola in Wellspring Cave at the moment.

@paced person: Sorry, but I find it ridiculously hard to believe that anyone would beat it within twenty four hours legitimately. The only way is to use cheat codes.. Such as rare candies to boost level sky high, walk through walls to ignore events, and other tedious obstacles.
