Yes the red9 is the best handgun you can get. When you can, upgrade your shotgun to the newer model.

I now have in my inventory, the Striker, red9, Semi-Auto Rifle, and Broken Butterfly.

Tis awesome. Since Handgun ammo is so easy to come by, I always use the red9 if there's a bunch of normal ganados or other weak enemies around, instead of the striker.

Wait till you get it. Just wait. Blast apart half of the villagers in pueblo with one shot...

Striker works well, get it fully upgraded, and you'll love it.

Im a fan of the P.R.L. recently. It's funny how it can flash a ganado but leave them unharmed then half of the time if you use it to flash Salazar or an El Gigante it'll kill them in 1 or 2 hits. Lol

It can kill anything with a parasite inside of it, or at the most, harm them some.

Not anything. This always got me wondering. Why doesn't it hurt Leon or Ashley? I mean they have plagas inside of them and you know for sure that the one in Ashley was hatched but if you flash the gun then you don't get blinded nor does Ashley. And if you shoot Ashley with the charge attack she isn't harmed either.Eh

Well, technically you can only buy th gun after you beat the game. When the Plagas is already out, so they're not affected. Make sense?
