Got a tip, or trick that is useful in Resident Evil 4, post it here so other players can have the same benefit.

I have a tip though, if you need ammo, but can find none, upgrade your guns' capacity at a merchant for a full round.

Use the knife as much as you can when playing on Professional mode to conserve ammo. The knife isn't anywhere near as useless as it was in previous Resident Evil games, either.

Where possible pick up all ammo. Even if you don't have that Gun. Sell to merchant. By my 3rd time thru on main game I had enough to buy Chicago Typewriter, and Infinite launcher.

I will back up Volke's tip, the knife is extremely useful now.

another tip, if you have over 30,000 gold, and you don't think that you can beat a boss, but a rocket launcher. one shot kill to anything.

If you have been thru and have special costume 2 use it. With ashley in the suit of armor she does not get hurt so all health can be used on Leon. Also when the enemy tries to pick her up and carry her off, she is too heavy and they wind up dropping her.

When you first enter the village for the first time, if you go to the second house on the left, the one with all the people on the roof, and go inside of it. You can get a free Shotgun.

Cig's tip does not work in easy mode, as you start with the shot gun

Using the Shotgun against multiple Ganados damages all of them in a small radius.

WTF, you start with the shotgun, how come i didn't start with no shotgun!?!

If you are fighting against a group of ganados, and you see the plagas come out of their head, then throwing a flash grenade will instantly kill the group of them.

I never started with a shougun either. When on pro, After you get the shotgun, jump out window. Stay on the roof of the shotgun house, go around to the right to where the roof ends. wait there to fight villagers. They will climb up to where you are. No attacks from the rear, and pick up ammo drops as needed. I did this and got thru village 2nd time. Then you can explore after they all go to church. By the way Zaltias, CIG has forgotten more about RE4 than most people know. That includes me and you. Anybody that scores 200,000 in Mercenaries deserves some respect. If you think a tip is bogus then report it, otherwise.................

I started on easy, and I had the shotgun to begin with O.O

I haven't finished the game yet though... I'm up to chapter 4-1, I've just destroyed the Novistador Hive and lost Ashley... again.

It'd be interesting trying the game on Pro or Normal.

Okay, wtf, wtf, WTF. How do you begin on easy mode? I play the game, i cannot choose the difficulty! WTF! that means i never played it on easy mode...

Aaden- if you need any help, lemme know, i found my RE4 game, and i am going to replay it, i am on 4-3, round 8.

Tip- If you see Dr.Salvador, only make head shots, no others. unless it is in the legs.

Don't mention it. OK i play on PS2. My copy of RE4 came from RE- The Essentials. 3 pak. The only settings I have come across is normal and pro. Am I missing something? I mean i have 8 complete on normal. It would be futile to go back and play a setting easier than Normal. I have seen many posts refer to easy mode. Is this game cube, PC, or what?Bet CIG or myself could beat easy with just the knife, and some herbs.LOL RE5& PS3 come to me soon.

I think maybe when you finish the game on Pro or something you can't choose the difficulty...?

I've been playing for about 12 hours in total... I'm going slow I think.

Maybe we (Aaden + Me) Both have the PAL version of the game, which may be different to the version the release in the US?

The version i am playing is RE4: Wii Edition

A fairly obvious tip, but buying a stock for your weapons can improve your accuracy and reduce recoil.

Lol, just go knife all the bosses, I've already got practice with that. I have killed the chainsaw man, a gigante, krauser, and saddler all with a knife...

It is probably on the PC, or the gc version, its not on the ps2 version.

Yeah, there are different versions of the game, then the wii version could be even more different...

tip: if you are out of ammo on a gun, go to the merchant, and upgrade the guns capacity, and you will get full ammo back.
