As the question says, once you beat the game once with leftover treasure, does it roll over onto the next playthrough along with your weapons?

Yes, it does. Also, you get this special merchant pop up when you go to new round. You can sell your weapons, buy two new ones... etc...

Yes, everything that you keep when you beat the game is transferred over. Your guns, ammo, amount of health, treasure, everything. No worries about not having to sell...

Also its best if you try to save at least 400000 pesos so that by the time you reach the castle you can have enough for the typewriter.

That can be hard, saving money I mean. Try combining all of your treasure pieces into something big for more money.
