high level monsters (in free to play)

In this thread, people can post problems, or good things about highlevel monsters.

I need to know if I should go face Elvarg the Dragon in Dragon Slayer Quest. I'm a 50 combat, 43 str, 41 attk, and 42 def. My Inventory will contain 1 full strength potion, 3 different runes (for teleporting to varrock) adn 24 lobsters. Should I go fight him or get even stronger? Another question, can i fight him after the quest just for the heck of it?

You can easily beat Elvarg that way. I did it at a much lower combat lvl with lower lvl food.

Really? What was your prayer level? Because a lot of people say that teh protect form mage and combat prayers are vital...

anyone else (that is onat the present time) want to voice their opinion?

anyone want to say another high level tht is good for exp?

Only high levels in ftp are greaters, and revenants. anyways i don't remember when i did it but it wasn't to hard of a deal, alot kill at lower levels, and protect prayers arn't needed, i don't believe elvarg deals magic/range damage if u have the level protect from melee would be best.

As for being able to go back and kill Elvarg no u cannot.
And a tip is open the secret door out of the dungeon first in case u die it will be easier to go thru that door instead of going on the ship again.

Ok, thanks for that advice. but about the revenants and greaters, do you have anything lower. Because I am a level 50... I don't think i can kill those guys yet...

try moss giants

you can kill elvarg, i killed him at lvl 32, bring full rune and just use your power up prayers, make sure you bring an anti fire sheild.

and no u cant kill him after.

I kill moss giants all the time, but what about ice giants? can i kill them?

supposedly you can kill any thing but when killing ice giants bring some food

I got a level 40 something and I kill lessers with it, Evlarg is ALOT easier than a Lesser

ya, elvarg is easier, i was just afraid to lose all my hard earned stuff. thanks for your post!

does anyone think i can kill a greater demon?

i wouldnt try them until you get up some more but kill lessers just bring a lobby pot wc axe and tuinderbox to get food and kill lessers until you have 1 lobby left eat a lobby when you get to 20 hp since lessers can only hit a max of 8

ok, the only thing i need now is higher fishing... what is a fast way to gain xp?

go to karamja with supplies

if you mean faster way for fishing exp? then fish trout and salmon till tuna then itll take no time for lobbie if your intreested in just getting the exp you could drop the tuna or use tuna to train with against the lessers but you would have to be really careful
