Super Smash Bros. General Character discussion.

Level 99 Meta Knight here. I love how everyone complains about Meta Knight being overpowered, completely forgetting that the only way to be good at Melee was to play as Fox or Falco.

With regards to D3's placement, I think much of that comes from epic damage as a result of him moving slowly and the ease with which he can chain grab most of the cast. A chain grab is a good 30% or so each time, I mean if he catches you, you're in for a world of hurt.

On an unrelated note: Wario = Awesome. Discuss.

wario is a very unpredictable character,he has a good collection of aeriels and has above average recovery

but he isn't my kind character,I don't really like his ko moves and his overall moveset doesn't impress me other then his uair and Bv

I for one think R.O.B. is good. I recently beat classic on intinse with him. before that i tried with someone else and failed.

The only good thing about R.O.B. is his Up B, it has awesome recovery...

...his spike and B aren't too bad either...(Using his B move at the start of a laggy Wi-Fi match is always fun)

also his up and down a can be pretty good. i dont really dont know about you but i'm best with him and lucas

His down A is his spike...

...i was good with Lucas in a Wi-Fi match, but it was pretty laggy, so i just spammed PK Fire constantly.

I can't seem to use Lucas well, he isn't very quick, and can be knocked back pretty easily, although i find his PK Freeze more effective than Ness' PK Move (don't remember what its called, its his B move), since it will still freeze the opponent even if you don't charge it up enough, whilst Ness' move will do a pittance of damage if not charged up properly.

Although i find Ness' Smash Ball move to be better than Lucas', but then again, competitive players usually ignore using Items, so that fact is quite...unimportant.

Pk Cross is Ness's B move.

well I dont have wi-fi so I dont know.

I think you meant R.O.B's down smash was good and yes it is very useful one of his best attacks.I like Lucario he is cool to play mindgames with cuz evryone is so predictable as soon as I finish charging my aura sphere they put up thier shield or reflector then I grab them. Pla his counter
(double team) can be more lethal than marths and Ike's when his damage climbs or the other persons is at 100%

Down Smash for R.O.B. is practically his spike move.

I do agree with you on Lucario's double team move being more effective than Marth's/Ike's Counter, but i don't find the Double Team move to be as "instant" as the counter, since the person can actually see it before it takes effect, allowing for someone to place their shield up, or just wait for the sequence to finish before attacking a vulnerable Lucario. (Marthh's/Ike's counters leave them vulnerable if the move fails, but the counter itself cannot be stopped if your opponent "falls into it", making it slightly more effective than Lucario's Double Team)

What do you mean its a spike its a spinning move I don't mean the air one or does the ground one spike if so it'd be very hard to pull off.


Also I don't usually end up too vulnerable after Lucario's counter I usually have enough time to roll or shield before they cann hit me since they haven't gotten out of thier shields until the move is over.

But if they roll out of the way of the Double team attack, then you're quite vulnerable...

I'm pretty good with falco, since I use more basic attack than smash ones. the only time i would use a smash attack is if i need to recover or use the quick dash.

I think the most over used character i've seen on wifi has to be Ike, Gannondorf (spelling?), and Snake. Every match I go on to, someone has to be a party crasher and use one of these guys. annoyance ><. even my friend uses Ike, which i think is cheap. Though I get to hit him faster than he can hit me =P

Ike is a top tier in terms of free for all so that isn't surprising

in friend matches I tend to see a lot of marth users as well as weegee

me personally I like using falco,ness,and wario

Ike user i am. Ike isn't cheap at all because he is slow xD just because its possible to KO someone at alot lower % then most other characters doesn't make him cheap.Also for everyone there is no cheap character and you forgot Marth to be another overused character.

I'm pretty skilled in arials with Sonic. His best is the Up then down A combo.

As in the Up+A in the air, Left+A in the air, or Down+A in the air? Ever since with those moves,I got good with Sonic.
