the cheat knome is not showing up on my sims 2 castaway i have put the code it say on ere but i cant find the knome

ok well turn up the volume if u hear a weird noise then its too early in the game to use it keep playing and try later or just keep trying it happens to me all the time i have to enter it a few times even the cheats when i get the cheat knome

The gnome appears in every screen once it's activated. I was able to turn it on right after I landed on the island. On the first beach when facing the water it is to your right behind some bushes. I was once able to move the cheat gnome in grab mode but have not been able to move it since. Maybe it is only movable on the first beach? You need to type in the code fairly quickly or it won't show up. You also need to activate at least one other code. The gnome will show up with one code, but you can't interact with it without the other code.

Is the purple fish the one I need to catch for chef butcher(puffer)? How do I get the spear from the Dr to go fishing. I am going crazy trying to find the items and am at 22% of the game. Help me please
