I've bought clothes for all my sims. My adult sims can easily plan their new 'everyday' outfit and dress accordingly. My child and elder cannot even GET the plan outfit option even though I bought clothes for their age and gender groups! This has happened on two different versions (sims 2 and sims 2 dvd version) on two different computers. Is there a way to change the elder's clothes... after all... I DID buy them.

Bring up the cheat prompt (ctrl+shft+c), type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true"(no quotes), and while your sim is not doing anything (turn of free will to make this easier) shift-click your sim, click 'more', then click 'plan outfit'. Buy some clothes for the sim (you have to buy clothes for this to work), then click the check button, then choose the outfit for them to wear.
