There is only one way to change your sims name to download a app called ''edit your games'' click the sims free play and click your sim and Chang the name!

when I made an infant I made it a girl, but when she turned into a toddler, she turned into a boy so now I have a son named Anna ?

you cant rename sims. i wish you could. 
.asecialy since someone gave your sims weird names.
.EA sould upgrade the sims freeplay to let you rename your sims.

You can't rename a sim unfortunately. The Firemonkeys's are thinking about making a update, so that you can change the name, though!

Total Makeover for 12 lp allows you to change your sim's name. I personally think it's expensive for something so minor, but whatever.
I've done it twice: once when I realized I was constantly confusing Juan and Johnny (they look similar in addition to their names being basically the same), so I renamed Juan to Diego. The second time I changed Johnny's last name when he moved out of his roommate's house so he could regain his Native American identity.

ok so you know how when you tap the name and the text bar shows up in the front? If you type then the name will pop up example: "Angela" I hope this helped. when I first started i didnt know either, I felt like this:','') Or this: :(
