How do you rename a sims

How do you change a sims last name? Cos two friends on the sims moved in but they have the same last name. Help!!

Shame but u can't change there DNA only the last name if they move in together

I agree about the whole 'change your sims name' thing, cuz I moved my male sim in with his wife and he got his wife's second name!!!!!!!

I find it upsetting we can't change the names.

Hey person who named your sims stuff from Harry Potter, darn it! Ron's last name isn't potter! That sucks, but anyway I am working on getting a Ginny sim mostly so I can have a red head but I never considered the rest of the troup, totally happening!

OK GUYS! So let me tell you that you can't change their name or gender BUT I've been thinking for those people who accidentally moved their sims in and changed their last names. well just thinking but maybe if you moved a temporary sim with random stuff BUT THE LAST NAME YOU WANT THE other people (the ones you accidentally moved out) to get move this temporary sims into the other person/couples house (the house you want him and/or her to live in) then ask the person/couple to move in and then get the temporary sim to leave town. I had a sim called Cox Ucker who had a partner called Bruce Cruise. When Bruce asked Cox to move in, Cox's name changed to Cox Cruise, which I found very disappointing. Also, I find this game a bit false-moralist. Two guys can kiss each other and have a "woo-hoo", but they can't sleep in the same double bed.
