Csnt propose, and baby birthday goal is already up? Stuck!

I'm stuck. My sims are partners, live together, but I haven't been able to get them to propose no matter what I do, and now the goal to turn an infant to a toddler is up and can't be skipped. Everyone says get engaged has to come up as a goal before you can get married and have the baby, so how can I do this if I can't get any new goals until the baby thing is finished? I can't even have the baby without the proposal goal first so.... I'm lost.

Same thing happening to me! I don't want to reset though. Level 31 and worth almost $3.5million! Might just give up completely, rather than starting over.

Same thing happened to me and I'm on level twenty and don't want to have to reset but I guess I'm gonna have to.

you have to be level 20 to propose, after the goal build 4 workplaces and build 3 buisnessess

Same thing happened to me and i heard it was because of a bug and that i needed to download the update where this had been fixed. I think there might be some way of downloading the update and getting it to work with the current game (ex using Cloud). I had not used Cloud and once the update was complete, i was forced to delete the game and start over... Sure starting over from level 24 wasn't too fun at first but now it's growing on me since you rather quickly build up again and can skip 'mistakes' you did last time around.

Well when I did it, I clicked on the sim and options came up. You know like be funny, be romantic or something, but at the top there should be another one that says "propose marriage" click on it, buy a ring, then you're engaged. Then be only romantic and you'll get married. Keep being romantic and then you should eventually be able to have a baby. If you could not do anything like that, then there is a bug. Make sure that you've got the updated version though.

I have tried to get engaged with 4 of my sims but they keep saying no. Why? I have one couple that are married but im on the goal now that says get two engaged sims to move in together. Any ideas?
