Yeah its brilliant. But on the Movie it skips to the meeting already, whereas in the game it shows a bit of it, where Cyrus gets shot, and then it goes black, and you start the whole game.

The film was a huge success, until the film commission at the time deemed that the film was encouraging gang violence. Load of rubbish.
In the directors cut DVD, in the special features someone (might have been Michael Beck(Ajax)) said that the local gang in Coney Island, in real life had told the actors and crew that The Warrior's vests had to be taken off when not shooting the film.
REAL GANGSTERS mind you.

as a kid we would come up to omaha ne. and see THE WARRIORS at the midnight movies...yes the movie did inspire violence and was yanked nationwide when first released...i posted in another topic somewhere about THE WARRIORS book
