Can someone help me you know when you in the room with alliston and the book case glows how do you open it?

you need to go and put one cage on the end of the see-saw and jump to make it pop up on the ledge and put it on the buttons

i competed it and got all the cheats and posted them on supercheats so you guys can have a look if u guys want + i have 89% of the game cleared and i am stuck on the bookcase and the last gold in croft mannor please can someone help

ok i really need help
this is the first time ever that i have played video games and i am 53% done this game and i am in england
i am in the castle and i am looking at king aurthor but now i am stuck i have tried everything that i can think of and i dont know what to do can i please get some help
