Smackdown vs RAW 2008 Review

Well, they obviously don't understand a gamers point of view, they're rating it as proffensionals. We care about how great the game is to play, whereas they rate it based on hype and publicity beforehand.

Halo for example.

Rock doesn't understand things from a Rappers point of view, and vice versa, so both thing eachothers music is 'no good' or whatever. But they are wrong.

And I'm leading down a totally different avenue here. I'll shush.

Well it depends on all the publicity the game gets on that specific console.

Alright, but still I think hit SvR07 right on the head last year. It is a lot of fun for multiplayer and just messing around, but single-player gets extremely boring after a little while.

I agree on that.. I am going to totally unlock everything this year by myself because using cheats sort of ruined it for me!

EXACTLY!!! Me too. I used game saves to get TNA guys and I ended up getting everything in the process. This time around I'm not gonna worry about CAWs (except my guy and possibly Benoit).

I use CAWs for making new people that appear in the WWE, or people that were missed (like London ands Kendrick)

I've always done everything myslef, except the year Jake th Snake was only available via PSP.

Review makes it look... not as good though.

I realized that too by the review,as for CAWS I always make non-wrestler people and occasionally some wrestlers that were ditched,but I dont worry about the people to much

I will only get WWECW CAW's this year, but I only got TNA dudes for the past few years. I'm gonna try fill the void THQ left, when the game isn't as exciting as it was 16th November... March maybe.

Yeah, caws.ws has oer 120 Jeff Hardy CAW's, so RVD will prob have about that in 08

What i don't get is the reviewers complaining that its "more of the same" and giving it a lowish score and then saying the same thing about Halo 3 and giving it an almost perfect score...

Talk about giving into the hype...

lol, I think they're trying to say that SvR07 just wasn't all that great, and when we get a new game out that is almost exactly the same as the last one... Well, I think you can figure it out.

I think they have completely changed the games style this year. For the past games, content has been the same, as well as moves, but fighting styles makes the game feel very fresh, I'd give it about a 9.

Well, I haven't played it, but I'll rate it from EVERYTHING I've heard about it so far.
Multiplayer: 9/10
Single Player: 7/10

meh, I have to get it for PS2 version then I can get it probley after christmas for PS3 after i get a dang PS3 -.-"

Well for my B-DAY in March.. I'll get a PS3...

Then buy 08 for PS3..

But I'm going to have to settle with 08 on PS2!

So do I, but by looking at the screenshots, it almost looks like a step-down from SvR07...

Yeah Sort of But there is no way Sony can make a PS2 with the graphic vision of a PS3.

I understand, but still, it could still be up to par with some of the best graphics PS2 can handle.

Yeah maybe they will re in vent the ps2 and make things better in the coming year?
