UFC/MMA

Are there any up and coming superstars in MMA I should keep an eye out for? Is Kimbo Slice any good, I keep hearing his name and from what I've seen he just looks like a brawler with little skill.

Well one name you should keep an eye on is TJ Grant, he won his UFC debut at UFC 97, and is 14-2, but he was on a 12 winning streak, but the thing is he has beaten people who are big names etc. like Ryo Chrnon, and he has already beat 2 UFC fighters outside of the octagon etc. He has another fight coming up soon as well in the UFC, I can't remember who hes fighting though, I'll let you know though.

In my opinion Kimbo Slice is just a big name, nothing more, he has a lot of street fight videos on youtube, so you can check them out if you want. He is only known for his street fighting, but when put in the ring, he ins't that good, Its called mixed martial arts for a reason, you need to mix it up.

There was talk of Kimbo Slice challenging Mike Tyson to a Boxing match, I personally think Mike Tyson still has enough left to beat a Kimbo Slice. A peak 20 year old Mike Tyson destroys Kimbo Slice inside a round.

I don't know, I wouldn't mind seeing that, kimbo slice should do boxing, because MMA is not right for him.

From what I've seen of Kimbo Slice he's got average Boxing ability at best.

He's a British legend, when I was in my teens I remember seeing him standing on the door of a famous nightclub in London and he was a monster. It was unlicensed Boxing he was famous for which is illegal.

If that had been a licensed fight he would of been DQ, for shots to the back of the head.

A have a look at this clip of Lenny McLean, he'd probably get banned for life if this was a licensed fight. I'd love to see the footage of when McLean went to New York and destroyed the Italian Maffia's best fighter.

well i havent watched much but i have played UFC Undistputed 2009 its awesome.

But i have to say from what i watched George St Pierre is great. I actually have a list of who i think is good on each weight.

this list also contain favourites of mine(heavy weight,light heavyweight and Welterweight)and some may not wrestle anymore since i havent watched it in a while

I'd watch more UFC/MMA if it wasn't on Pay-Per-View. The fights I do watch are usually a month old and are broadcast on free channels. In another ten years I think UFC/MMA will be more popular than tradional Boxing.

Well you could always watch those pay-per-view's online haha.

www.channelsurfing.net all you got to do is click on the channel that is hosting UFC etc, as you will notice there are a lot of other channels to, with other stuff on it.

Thanks for the link, the only thing is though is it keeps needing to buffer after every 5 seconds, does this mean I need to increase my internet speed? Also what are the legal implications in respect to viewing the programs?

That might have to do with it, or it also could have to do with the number of people also watching the program, if theres a lot of people watching it all at once, then it will start to slow down etc.

So whats the next big UFC/MMA fight, I'll have to try it out.

I do believe its July 11th, UFC 100, its going to be the biggest UFC fight card in the histroy of the UFC. The Main Event is my teacher/mentor Georges St Pierre vs Taigo Alves for the Welterweight Title. And the Semi Main Event is good as well, which is Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir for the Heavyweight Title.
