Another movie curtosy of Netflix: Full Metal Jacket.
This was a good movie. I hesitate to say great, because while the first 45 minutes or so are brilliant, the next hour and ten minutes are pretty average war movie stuff. But those first 45 minutes are emotional, funny, and simply fantastic. The rest of the movie is okay, hits some high notes, some low notes, and is overall worth watching, if only for the first 45 minutes.
This movie's about a group of 6 strangers that are chosen for an Internet Reality show in which they have to spend 6 months in a house in the middle of nowhere. Think Big Brother on steroids. They have no outside communication. All food/necessary items are bought to them & they do not choose. They get random packages as well. If they last 6 months, they get a share in $1million. Here's the kicker though; If even one person leaves the house, everyone loses.
It's the ultimate morality test basically. I won't spoil how the movie pans out, but it is worth a watch. It isn't an A-Grade Hollywood movie by any means, but it is a solid movie. Well worth a watch.
<3 to Craizen for the Avatar & TheLlama for the Signature.
"Forever in this heart of mine, an everlasting bond. From now until the end of time, are memories so fond."
In the first film the T-Virus was released. This is the fourth in the movie series and it revolves around that original outbreak and the few survivors. The protagonist, Alice, following Extinction, attacks the Umbrella HQ in Tokyo, only to have her obtained abilities stripped away along with the rest of her clones thanks to the corporation's president, Albert Wesker. The movie follows Alice as a regular human searching for survivors and attempting to reach Arcadia, a paradise free from infection.
I give this movie an overall meh. To be truthful, I only paid my money to see this in the cinema because it included Wesker as he is in the games, and though the director claims that Wesker was made and written in such a way so as to please the game fans, I didn't feel his few appearances did him any justice.
just finished watching Predators and i enjoyed it, will proberly watch it again sometime.
Also watched Paranormal Activity recently and i really don't see what the big deal is, it just sucked overall. The first hour is about as much fun as watching paint dry then the next 30mins you get 2 scenes which are barely amusing altough the second is the ending which i had to go onto youtube to watch because the version i seen was just pathetic. Scary? don't make me giggle the only scary thing is i'll never get that 1hr 30mins of my life back...
