I have these trick questions and I can't figure them out. They are REALLY annoying me, and I wanted to know if anybody who's good at them could help me.
1. Find two positive numbers that have the same answers when multiplied together and when added together. ( i already got the number 2)
2. An outlet and a lightbulb cost $1.20. We know that the outlet costs $1.00 more than the lightbulb. How much does each cost?
Thanx to anyone who answers them.
Have you ever had something that you thought you had figured out, but then realized you had no idea?

1. Do you consider 0 to be a positive number?

2. Outlet: $1.10. Bulb: $0.10

But it's the only number that works...

AFM: Half-way. After that, it's running out of the wood.

Here's a classic: A tree falls down in the middle of the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Heres one that took me a while to solve: A fox, a sheep, and a stack of hay are all trapped on an island, you are taking them back, you can only take one at a time back to land, in which order do you take them?

P.S. If left alone, the fox will eat the sheep, annd if left alone, the sheep will eat the hay. So, if you take the hay back, the sheep will die, if you take the fox back, the hay will be eaten, and if you put the sheep on land then the fox, the sheep will be eaten.

You take the sheep over to the land, and then you go back. You take the fox with you, and you switch it with the sheep. You bring the hay to land, and then you go back and get the sheep. It only took me five minutes to figure it out. Oh, and nobody knows what the sound is because no one's there to hear the sound.

depends size of tree, a twig, probably not. A great redwood DUH!!

I got good ones.

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

If you overtake the last person, then you are...?

A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By
imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully
expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is
done. Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?

The first one, you're now in second place. The second one, you're now in the second to last place.

2 fathers and 2 sons go fishing. At the end of the day, there were only 3 fish. Each person caught one fish. No fish were lost, or stolen, or eaten. How can this be?

uhhh thats so simple 2
2+2=4
2x2=4
2^2=4
0 is a neutral number neither positive and negative

the outlet costs 1.10 and the bulb is .10
