I was watching a special on 20/20 and Steve Irwins director said that they were not going to release the video footage. Thank goodness, some things need to be left unseen.
Also, he was 'stabbed' in the heart ironically.

Yep that's true. I saw this movie, where they said they were going to show the video footage of the incident... I was watching it out of curiousity because I doubted they'd show it. Some text came up and 5 seconds later this freaky face pops up and screams, I laughed like hell.

That is quite possible. Mind you when you compare it to Richard Hammond (I know slightly off topic), but the fact is that Richard is still alive so we can tell if he wants the video footage of his accident shown or not whereas Steve is dead so we can't tell.
