It was actually only 1 year in the NFL for two teams. He spent 8 years in the CFL and was offered a spot on a team around 4 years ago to replace an injured kicker, but the team signed Lawrence Tynes before he could accept.

Vick took 6 snaps, 2 rushing plays and 4 passing attempts. He was 4/4 on passing,although he only threw one ball downfield for a 13 yard completion. 2 Passing attempts were shovel passes and the ohter was a swing pass.
He only played on first and second down and all the plays were run from the shotgun formation.

Pittsburgh 1-1 so far. May have some problems with all of Roethlisberger's off-field issues.

Vick also had a standing ovation from the Eagles crowd. Philly is gonna be one of the most exciting teams to watch after week 6.

Week 6 will be interesting. I'm surprised Eagles are cheering for him...and proud. Yeah...not too pleased with dogfighting...but this is football. Think football...not personal life. I can't wait for the next game.

Philly fans did the right thing. He payed his debt to society and has set out a plan along with a financial planner to payback $20 million to creditors. It's over. Now all we should care about what he is doing on the field. And so far there is nothing negative to talk about there, as he's been great during his time under center so far.

Only one pass downfield out of 6 and he gets a standing ovation from the Philadelphia crowd, I think the Philly fans are desperate for him to succeed and regain his former form.

Well...According to reports he is going to take more snaps this coming game. We will see some more good plays...hopefully.

He got an ovation before the game and the crowd wanted to see him play more and were chanting "We want Vick". Everyone is so excited to see him back in the game because when he entered the league he changed the game. Modern QB's were not too popular before(still aren't but are more popular now then before) and when he entered the league with his running ability coaches had to gameplan around him.

He hasn't shown off any of his running ability yet either. I'm waiting for Philly to line up in a 5 wide formation and see if Vick may have gained some speed from all his time working out in prison.

I still think Michael Vick is overated as a pure Quarterback.

He's not a pure quarterback. He has never been and never will be. On college rosters he'd be listed as an athlete because he can be put into many different positions and is capable of so many things with his skill set.

He can't throw the ball short. He has a tendency to throw the ball with a lot of power no matter where his receivers are on the field. This was why Atlanta's passing game was not so strong when Vick was there. He would fire the ball in to hard for the receivers to catch it. That's why when Matt Ryan came in Roddy White became one of the top receivers because Ryan can throw the ball hard and soft for all sorts of situations. Vick was always going top speed.

I can't see how a player like Vick is going to help the Philadelphia Eagles who are a decent team capable of reaching the Super Bowl without him and his scrambling.
