You know, I only got Madden 10 recently and it was my first ever Madden game, had to learn the rules of the sport and stuff. I picked the Vikings after playing with them for awhile and loving the metres I could run with Adrian Peterson, so I went onto the website to check if the Vikings won Round 1 (I guess they're my team now) and see that Peterson had a beastly game, well deserved.

Yeah, if you begin to follow the NFL you will see that Peterson is one of the best running backs in the league.

Adrian Peterson is the second coming of Gale Sayers, their running style is identical. The Vikings have a shot at the Super Bowl this year with Favre at Quarterback.
The Redskins need to get a better Quarterback as Jason Campbell is not good enough and Jim Zorn will be lucky to survive as the head coach.
I wasn't that impressed with the Redskins big signing Albert Haynesworth.

I'm surprised the Chicago Bears beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 2 after Jay Cutler had that awful game for the Bears in Week 1. The New Orlean Saints are looking good this year as are the Minnesota Vikings.

I'm really surprised at how much the saints are scoring on offence.as long as brees doesn't give up too many interceptions they are contenders in the NFC

Drew Brees is probably the best QB in the NFL right now. Brady isn't doing crap, nor is the Manning Brothers or Roethisberger. Brett Favre hasn't done anything because Adrian Peterson is doing all the scoring.

What's happened to Peyton Manning? A couple of years ago he was unstoppable scoring 3-5 Touchdowns a game, so far this season he has done nothing worth mentioning. Drew Brees has a Quarterback rating of 132.9 and Adrian Peterson is gaining 6.8 yards average per carry so far this season.

Peyton is getting old. His time is near.
As for Adrian Peterson, he is young. Going into his third season, his is probably a MVP candidate again against Drew Brees.

I would expect anything spectacular out of Favre this year, he's too old and his mind still doesn't know how to handle a broken down body yet.
MVP is gonna be tight between Brees and Peterson all year. If brees can break the passing record likehe almost did last year then I'm sure he'll win.

Peterson can easily break all the rushing records he wants as long as he doesn't retire before 11 years.he is the dominate force everyone thought reggie bush was going to be

Reggie Bush has been bothered with injuries though. He would have been good, but he is too scared now. People don't want to be re-injured, so they don't end their career.

Bush was always a big play back though. He's always looking for a big play and if it's not there he doesn't do much else.
He is better used as a passing threat out of the backfield or lining up as a receiver, because with his speed he can run a fly route that not many defensive backs are gonna be able to keep up with. Which is perfect for Brees since he throws darts.

I can't see Drew Brees breaking Peyton Mannings's Touchdown record, I don't think anyone will come anywhere near that for years. A team would have to have to have at least four top quality Recievers and a weak schedule to have a chance at it. Adrian Peterson will shatter NFL Rushing records if he stays healthy but to beat Eric Dickersons single season record would mean the Vikings would have to play mainly a rushing game like the Rams did under John Robertson.
