At the top click Tools - Options - History - Remember what I enter into forms and the search bar.
It clears everything up if you un-tick it.

You know, if you're talking about the keywords list, you can just press the delete key when you highlight them with the arrow keys (not the mouse)

I know nothing about computers, but I remember someone saying you can't erase history from the hard drive, I think. My parents have found so many things looking there. It was my brothers of course.

That just gets rid of browser history; unless you use FF, it doesn't delete everything anyway.
And even if you did use FF, if your parents were actually smart (read: updated) enough to search the hard disk, you'd be screwed anyway.

That's what I meant above, the hard disk. That is how my brothers were found out.
