Any advice for me so I can prevent something traumatic happen to me again?

if i were you, to avoid it instead of trying to beat them up and end up dead, just never be alone, if so don't take shorcuts aka alleys ect, just stay in sight of other people, but the best option is to get a ride home,

So what, you didn't see that thang on tha news about a guy gettin' attacked by a guy with a hammer on a subway while all tha other people just watched. People don't wanna help, too afraid of gettin' mugged too, or killed, or get caught up in tha legal system. They'll just sit there and watch...

Option 1: Intelect

While the gun is in your face, be calm, cool, and collected. Tell them they can have whatever, if they can kill you, and that you'll certainly not let them do it without a fight. Then eat away at their emotions, goin' over all tha bad stuff they've done, and how they'll go to hell. Not for the average joe with an average intelligence.

Option 2: Force/Deception
Tell him you'll give him tha cash if he drops tha gun (at quite a distance away), then reach into yer pocket to get the goods. Then, with items in hand, get as close as you can, then strike in a fight finisher area. Punch him in tha adam's apple, push his nose back into his head, take his legs out from under him, hit him in the gonads, etc. Then pick up his gun and point it at him, then lead him out of wherever you're at (assumin' a back ally) and take him to the nearest cop. Probably your best option.

Just my best ideas, maybe you should just not go into the bad parts of town anymore.

Option 1 only works in films, and option 2 is just plain stupid.

If you are at gunpoint and you're being asked to give someone money/valuables, then give them what they want. Unless you're willing to risk being shot. If that's the case, then do whatever you want.

Make a face as if to say "I'm a neglected and pisse[i][/i]d off kid, look at me the wrong way and I'll kill your family". Eh... that's what one of the guys I know looks like everyday, except he's really a waster.

(Not when the gun is pointed at your face, you've the right to ***** out then, but in future when walking alone).

2. If you are walking down an area in town that has gangs where colours that are there colours or neutral colours

3. Walk with a group of friends

4. Stay on main roads where lots of people can see you.

So you do nothin' but be cautious? What if they come find you!? It ain't like muggers are bees confided to their hive, they have legs too. You need to have some sort of plan. Of course precautions are important but you've gotta have somethin' to defend yourself, a taser, a gun, mace, whatever. And if you can fight them and get tha gun away then you can get help. Would you just sit there and let them beat tha hell out of ya and take yer stuff?

This is why I carry a knife or two in town at all times. We have some muggers* with guns in my town. My opinion, get really good at knife throwing, like I am, because if you have two knives you can toss one at their head. Try and miss, it will usually scare those ignorant twits off. If they're up close, take an easy opening pocket knife or a switchblade, flick it open and cut him really swiftly (ideally at the carotid artery or through the palm). He'll drop the gun and flee. Of course there are safer options...

*They use airsoft guns though

Do you think your "stuff" is worth more than your life?

Ultimately avoiding getting into such situations in the first place is best, obviously, but if you find yourself in such a position, it's better to hand over your stuff. You can get a new phone, or earn more money, or buy another handheld, whatever, but you can't get another life, or get back years of your life spent in prison, if something goes wrong when you try to fight.

I swear I'd probally be scared but as far as i'm concered i'm not losing before the fight begins. I'mma atleast get some blows in. they gotta get close to you to get your stuff. thats when you strike.

MMMEEE, the had a GUN. You don't try to fight anyone with a gun, unless you know its a water pistol, or somehow know 100% for certain that its not loaded, and in that case, you run for you life.

Imaloony just break his arm fast enough. AND you got the advantage. Break both arms and your good. You should use the pipe to break the legs. That'll make him hurt. Then just beat on him and MUG him.

Since you were obviously somewhere away from public eye, if you are near a shop or store and people are certainly heading your way, dart into one of them and either stay in there (where there are people to watch/help you) and/or ask to use the phone and call the cops.

But if you aren't, simply arrange a ride home, walk in a large group, or just take a new route home, one where you can find someplace to hide or ask for help in. =/

Last I checked, bullets move faster than people.

They probably wouldn't shoot you over some cash, a watch, and a cell phone tho. Besides, then, you'd be in the same boat with him, and you could be arrested for breaking his arms.
