Oh, this is new. I wasn't aware that over the past 8 years, the President can go and approve foreign and national policies without going through Congress. And I always thought that the majority of the Democratic-based Congress had to approve all these policies that people blame Bush for...
Now I know the truth! Imagine that!

In any case, it's obvious that you're ignorant to being ignorant in politics due to your lack of knowledge on American government. I can understand if you're not American, but based on what I've read from previous posts by you, I can deduct you are, indeed, American.
...
So I'd like to make known to people [of SuperCheats] to stop blaming Bush because it's Congress that does what he gets blamed for - and note that the majority of Congress is, ironically, Democratic. Funny how all the Democrats hate the decisions that *Congress* made. :/
But I guess we all get a chance to be happy, for your Democrats. A new President is going to be in the White House before February 2009! I'll personally give Obama a chance, but I'm not saying I think he'll be successful nor who we need at the moment.
I'm so glad that Obama won! I'm not even American but I've been following the election as closely as the Canadian one last month. I believe Barack Obama can change America for the better in hundreds of ways.
Go Obama!!!

I always enjoy how much the media can influence your opinion, for example the one thing I knew Obama wanted was too remove troops from Iraq, though today and only today I find out he wants to pull them out and send them to Afghanistan instead, because thats clearly going to stop the war.
To be honest I don't think either Obama or McCain would have the impact needed to truely do any good, nothing will chance. Wow, sorry to end on such a negative tone.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on witnessing pure perfection!
The odds are stacked against the Republicans, the Democrats are takin' back Washington. The American people are tired of 8 years of Republican hogwash and failed policies, includin' myself. Bush is a moron, everyone knows it, we have since Katrina or earlier. Those who are 'die-hard' Rep/Dem are idiots for the most part, you can have Bush run again and he'd still get votes from idiots out there like that. It's just simply idiotic to believe that one group ALWAYS has the answers. I think most people should be Independant, vote for the best man, not the party you think is best.
And I hereby award John McCain this most appropriate of awards...
But I do have to commend him for his most gracious concession speech last night, he gracefully surrendered with dignity and he most certainly deserves our respect, even though he lost 349 to 176, a total landslide.

Well, whether you like it or not, Obama won. Quit crying, it's over. Anything can happen, and if he turns this all around, he will be the best president in USA History.
Well whats done is done, Obama is the President of the U.S. and to be honest I rather him do well then me be able to say "I told you so" if he doesn't do well. However how he stands on some of the moral issues I can never agree with, and in that sense I know he isn't a good president no matter how well I would like him to do.

It's odd, because for the past several decades, whoever wins Ohio ends up winning the presidency. It gets really hectic because of that, and Obama was in Columbus, Cleveland Cincinnati two days before the election. It's kinda fun being one of the most fought over state :D
McCain, while he was not the winning candidate, I believe if he was 20 years younger and picked a better vice president would have had a real shot at it. He was gracious in defeat, and he's a war-hero so while I supported Obama I think we can all applaud McCain anyways.
