Start all over again

I have been reading anothers persons topics and has I said before I have already defeated 9 espers and all my characters are above lv65 but in this point of the game I have like 1% chances to get eighter the Tournesol or the Zodiac Spear. The huge problem is that I have 98 hours of game and I don't know if it's worth to start all over from the beggining.WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?

First of all, could you edit your topic title so it's not in all caps?

If you avoided the 4 treasure chests you're not supposed to pick up, the Zodiac Spear should still be there.

If you have, the Spear is not mandatory, so don't worry about it

I'm sorry but I don't know how to edit my title.

About the chests I have opened one of them so I cant get the Spear neighter the Tournesol wich are the strongest weapons. Do you think they're not really worth?:(

They're excellent weapons, but they're not absolutely unnecessary. Starting all over again seems a bit much.

There is still a chance to get the zodiac spear as a rare find in the secret area of the Henne Mines. There isn't really much point starting over if you just want the Zodiac Spear and the Tournesol.

Every game i have ever played on the ps2 i have played so far then started again. Ive always realised that ive missed something or i just simply had a better understanding of the game and wanted to start again. Myself and Gamespro (if i remember rightly Gamespro) did just that once we got to the final battle. For me that was 120hours. Im happy i did it, i want to get all the weapons ,do all the hunts, espers and sidequest. What you could do is keep on playing your original game but also start again. If you find you like your second attempt more than your original just keep playing but dont erase the last save of your first attempt. Then if you feel the need to finish the game you can go back and carry on where you left off...phew no more essays from me.

Yeah I started again because I had missed a lot of stuff in the game. I missed a lot of sidequests and some of the best weapons and since I had almost completed the game I decided to start again and try and do everything.

i still might go back and try to finish it because i want to see the game through

I'm going to trust you and start a new game to get all the weapons and sidequests. You've really helped. Thanks

If you've missed a lot then start again, but if not then its best to do what BB suggested finish the game your on now then start a new game.

Hmm. I checked and you were right. If you have the Diamond Armlet you can find it in the Phase 2 Dig area of Henne Mines, with 10% chance of success

Yeah its a lot easier to get in the Nechrohol Of Nabudis though. It takes a while to get it in the Henne Mines.

Yes it does, and you have to have 10 espers which takes a while to get as well.

Yeah so its definately a better idea to go for the one in the Nechrohol Of Nabudis but it doesn't hurt to have 2 Zodiac Spears.

You are right, but it is harder to get the one in the nercohol because of the treasure chest thing, but you are right, two is way better than one.

Yeah but if you make sure which ones you are not supposed to open then you will definately get it but there is only a small chance to get it in the Henne Mines.

yeah and it is easy to remember which ones not to open, so that is easier than the one in the henne mines, but at least you have a slim chance of getting one if you missed it the first time.

Yeah its not a big deal if you don't get it anyway there are a lot of other really powerful weapons in the game.

True, Ultima blade, Excalibur, Tournesol, Whale Whisker, there are a lot of powerful weapons.
