Start all over again

There's not that much of a differance between the Tournesols attack power and the Zodiac Spears.

Supose because gaining the zodiac spear is seen as a sidequest, its seems like its the ultimate powerful weapon and if you dont get it you feel like you have missed something important. Ive got to admit im a bit disappointed that i went to the trouble of avoiding chests and reading different walkthroughs on how to gain the spear and not one mentioned getting it another way or in another place. So in retrospect i supose its not worth starting again if thats all its for. There are bigger prizes. Thanks to these guys ive learned that much

The way that you were trying to get the Zodiac Spear is the best way.

Yeah but some walkthroughs mention more chests than others, then i realised that some of these walkthroughs are from the UK and some from th U.S and i think the FFXII that was realeased in Europe is slightly different (from what i can gather!)

I don't think there's any differance. There are only four chests you are not supposed to open. The treasure in front of Old Dalan's house, the chest in the southeast corner of the palace cellars, the treasure in Nalbina where you get your equipment back and one of the sixteen chests in the Phon Coast but its best not to open any of them.

There was one walkthrough that said the first chest you encounter in the giza plains was one of them.

I don't that is true, all versions are usually the same, unless you have the international version.

Maybe the person who did the walkthrough just made a mistake.

maybe..well i bought the game from amazon it was shipped to spain from the uk so i dont think i have the international version.

The international version is called the Zodiac job system, i'd like to play it, it sounds really interesting.

Yeah your supposed to be able to choose jobs and it changes the license board. I think it was only released in Japan.

Oh no i dont have that one but ive heard of it, i really want it. Theres a video or two on you tube showing various thing about it.

My sister is the only person i now thats ever bought a game from japan and had it shipped over!

Yeah your supposed to be able to do over 9999 damage in that one and control the espers too.

Yeah thats what i heard, wouldnt mind getting my hands on that game as long as it has more than just japanese for the languages..im abit rusty on that language

I'm pretty sure its Japanese only.

farely sure i cant read japonese. oh well there goes that one.

Well then there's a chance it might still be released.

Yes there might be, I know that there is a super strong bow that can do 50,000 damage in one hit. put the ZS to shame.
