Yeah, but they do that so they know you got them the right way. Bungie is smart, they know people will kick the hell out of thier game to find glitches, and ways to cheat the game. And we have, :P There actually is a way to party up in Lone Wolves. Check the glitches topic.

Why do people obsess over acheivements? games were just as much fun without them three years ago.

can some 1 plz help me with overkill and 2 4 1? what u do is you change ur language to the bottom one on the list and change ur matchmaking setting to "my language" and when you go into it you should get very little results of people. if we are around the same lone wolves level (mine is 33) and we start around the same time we will most likely be in the same match. plz help me

"Obsess" is the wrong word. Acheivments are important in Halo 3 because they give you 2 pieces of armor (Katana and Security Helmet) and they give a sence of accomplishment.

yea that is true i agree with qwertyuio also makes the game more challenging

Also makes it so people play more. Some people can't stand not 100% finishing a game, wich is good for microsoft.
Example:
Someguy: I got all acheivements accept for overkill.
Someguy(Next day: Now to go and finish that acheivement, dang! My XboxLive ran out! Go buy more months so I can finish the overkill.

And Microsoft gets 50 more bucks.

Yes, and of course those are a pain but still doable...especially if you can talk someone into giving you help.

No acheivement is "important". they are all pretty pointless cos you can't do anyhting with them.
