When I first got my Sapphire, it was my first Pokemon game, so I had no idea how Torchic would be like in the game. I just picked it cuz' I thought it was cute, really. But I have had the other starters before, but for some reason, I have never beaten the game with any of them yet. I guess I just work well with Blaziken.

1st I chose Torchic,then I start all over cause my brother know that I have a Latias and get a Latios and start with Mudkip. Then, I start breeding/training Mudkip and trade to get a Torchic and Treecko.

Well in Sapphire I first got Mudkip.
Then in Emerald I got Treecko

I chose Torchic because he looks the best. And by the way it's fire moves will whack Treeko very hard.

I choose Torchic every time because all-around he's the best, has an advatage at alot of the Gyms, and the Elite Four.

i always found my self stuck at winonas gym with sceptile and mauville with mudkip but blaziken went and beat everyone
