Lugia OR Ho-oh??

I personally like Lugia way better. but which is better in stats and moves wise?

Ho-oh can learn normal attacks, fire, flying, and i dunno what else, but Lugia can learn electric, water, normal, psychic, flying.

so i think lugia would beat Ho-oh in a Moves contest. but what about stats?

I say Lugia. Mainly because you can get a better Fire type in Typhlosion. Lugia has, I think, the best stats of the G/S/C legendaries and the most diverse moveset. With the power of TMs, Lugia can learn various moves covering a variety of types. Like Thunder, an electric move, Hydro Pump, a water, and probably some Phychic and Dark moves. Ho-Oh, on the other hand can't. His stats aren't as high as Lugia's, and his moves aren't as diverse. The moves he learns are fire, and some flying in his "early" levels. His moves are powerful, but he is really only effective against grass and bug types.

OH. i was gonna say how much better lugia was but when i look at the moves the only difference between the moves is ice, which lugia can learn and ho-oh cant. besides that they are equal. and stat wise lugia excels by anywhere from 40-90 points. so lugia is better in stats but is equal to moves in ho-oh

ho-oh is best

Ho-Oh is dead against any rock move, such as Rock Slide or Ancientpower. Lugia at least stands a chance to those moves + more.

Forget the stats/moves, I'll go with Lugia.

But I didn't mean it like that. I meant to say that in moves/stats, Lugia is better anyway, but also to resistance.

His attack an' really good sp. defense make up for whatever else.

I still say Lugia.
My Lugia in Gold has higher stats than Ho-Oh when they are both level 73. I didn't use anything on Lugia, and in fact, I used about 7 HP ups on Ho-Oh and his HP is STILL less than Lugia's. In GSC, there are no abilities or natures, so it doesn't have anything to do with either.
The rest of his stats are also higher than Ho-Oh's.

Although Ho-Oh can learn Solar Beam, Lugia can learn Thunder/Thunderbolt and Ice beam. Ho-Oh is dead against a rock attack, whereas Lugia could at least survive one. Although an ice attack on Ho-Oh wouldn't do much, an ice attack on Lugia wouldn't do much worse damage, either.

FTW, Lugia is better. I think.

yeah lugia beats ho-oh in everything. stats, moves, w/e else there is.

He also has a better mix of moves to make many different kinds of movesets, and has different advantages over different pokemon.

Ho-Oh? The best he can do is Flamethrower, Solar Beam, Sunny Day, and Recover. In GSC that's the best it gets. In D/P I'd teach him Rock Slide, but still, he's dead when facing Lugia.

actually lugia has only 1 move type that ho-oh doesnt \. so their almost tied there.

ho-oh could get ancient power. that would make him a little better.

Lol Ho-oh sucks.Lugia doesn't. Why would you want a Pokemon that's a ho anyway? Hell when Santa came to deliver presents and he said 'ho ho ho' he waas reffering to Ho-oh. Atleast Lugia's got good moves,good stats and a name that doesn't sound like you are some whore. GO LUGIA!

If the post is a month old and the member isn't exactly active anymore, I'd say it's safe to ignore them until they come back without having learned a thing... after all, bumping old topics will show up on the hub.
