i agree cause maybe hes like the opposite to the Three Fairy things Uxie Azelf and Mesprit. cause Palkia and Dialga are opposites sorta and Darkrai and Cresselia are opposites. so Giratina has to be the opposites to them i guess.

basically, i think nintendo kind of structured the legends like the greek gods. Zeus controlled everything = Arceus
and then he had lots of sons, daughters, brothers and sisters so that explains the others.
since shaymin has another form and is like a nice pokemon (i think) i bet giratina is the oppostie of shaymin
