Leaving characters

C'MON people, quit arguing about who's better Marth or Roy!!!! Stay on topic!!!! And it doesn't matter who's stronger, it's who you're better with, so get over it!!!!

Marth and Roy make an awesome team.

And, you are right Zair Hidamaru, they are both equal. Marth has speed, and Roy has power.

Yes they do suck MG.

I dont think Iv'e ever use them cause they looked like they would die right away and I hated there moving stage.

They LOOkED like it, but they're much stronger if you know how to use them.

You guys don't know anything. Marth is much better than Roy. But I'm not going into that here, unless you really want me to. I'm realy sick of explaining why. Roy is a lot easier to use for beginners and intermediates though.

Characters I want to get the axe: Pichu, Mr. Game and Watch, Ice Climbers, Ness and Young Link. Basically the rubbish characters that can't really br made much better. I also calssed Mewtwo and a few others as rubbish characters, but they could be made a lot better.

Even my brother agrees that Roy is just as good. He's a Marth player, and I'm a Roy player. But he agrees Roy is just as useful as Marth.

Dr Mario (What's the difference?)

Ganondorf should stay, but with the Sage's Sword and some projectile magic. Final Smash involves transforming into Ganon and leathering everything.

Don't you read the Smash Dojo website? Volt Tackle is Pikachu's Final Fmash.

Jiggly(useless), Ice climbers, pichu(crappy clone of pika), mewtwo(stupid), marth(they already have another fire emblem guy), peach(but shes in it), young link(nothing really diff between him and link), maybe zelda(but shes in it), bowser(too slow, too useless except to whoop on)

i wish they'd keep falco...melee was overrun by zelda and mario characters they should even it out a bit. (zelda/sheik,ylink,link,ganon)4 (mario,dr.mario,luigi,yoshi,bowser,peach, etc) it should be even ratio but more mario characters tho they have the most right to be there really just not so many.

why do yall want characters axed?if u dont like them dont use them,other people will use them.although dr.mario got on my nerves alot!i hope he dies a horrible death but only him!

People who hate Marth/think he is equal to or worse than Roy - The fact that you know barely anything about which players are good on a competitive level does not compensate for wanting Marth, and some other players you all underrate, such as Jigglypuff, who was by far better than any other pok�mon in Melee, out of the game. Just because you can't use a character that's beyond your skill level to control well, it doesn't mean they are bad.

Maybe I should find the Melee tier list and post it here. Note that the tier list was assembled by the professionals at the game, who are by far better than anyone on this site I assure you.

EDIT - I've found the tier list. Now don't cry if your favourite character is at the bottom half:

I can say that is close to accurate. I can whoop some **** with Fox as well, but I didn't know it till recently. I usually played Falco and my brother played as Fox. But my game got erased so I was usin Fox. I'm also pretty good with Dr. Mario and Link.

But then also, like Brad was saying just don't use the ones you don't like. If they were to keep all the characters, and just add to them... I'd be a happy.......person.

Well, even though they are in different tiers, all characters in the Top, Upper and High tiers can be used very well as a primary character. When it comes to Middle tier though, the characters become a little unreliable to use primarily. For example, the world's best Roy user doesn't use Roy as his main, because he thinks Roy is too unreliable in full force compared to other character, and Roy is a Middle tier character.

Many of the good characters, such as Marth and Sheik, might not seem too good at first, and there are better choices for beginning players. But when players get to an expert level, it is better for them to try out characters such as Marth and Sheik and learn how to use them well. It's not that simple, though, as preferences still occur.

As with Ganondorf, all he needs is a different moveset other than C. Falcon's.
And Marth? Marth is pretty good if you can use him correctly. He's much faster and more suited for one-on-one combat.

you know, they did stuff like this on perpose, every character, except a few, have clones, dr.mario, mario and luigi, teh same, samus and mewtwo,link/younglink, jigglypuff/ kirby, marth/ roy, pichu/pikachu, and more
