Ally achievement...

Ok I was trying to get the ally achievement with the krogan and turian and I did from beginning to end with them both did every assignment and mission with them them never changed and I only got the krogan, whats wrong with that, exactly how many missions / assignments do I need to do with them and why did the krogan unlock and not the turian??
