New Linkin Park Song...

Well I know we have quite a couple LP fans here. So what do you guys think of their new single for the Transformers movie coming out? Honestly I like it, but I don't think it's a particularly good song. It just fits my personnel preference. I suggest you download the song, because the below link is horrible quality and ruins the song.

It's ok, imo. I like it, but I certainly don't love it. My personal preference is LP songs with Mike in it, unlike this one. It's at least worth a listen.

I actuly like this one not better then the one which was used in trasformers 1 (what i ve done) but stiill its a pretty good song i give it 4/5.

lol, of course, because you like Rap. I on the other hand, think Mike ruins half the songs he sings in. xD

but you gotta admit, Mike makes some amazing beats for the LP songs

I will check it out this weekend...since I feel like not waiting 2 hours for a song to load. I'm a fan of LP. They are a good band.

True, he is one of the few good rappers out there.

I think calling him a rapper is an understatement. I think he has the skills of an emcee.

I'm the same as Brad here, rap is more my thing & Mike is a brilliant singer.

In my opinion the only good song by them is We Made It. Don't kill me Qwert.

And most probably only because Bhusta Rhymes raps along...

Well, you know how much I love Linkin Park *points at avatar* but I'm not a big fan of this song. It's nice, but not amazing. Was just talking to Taylor about it the other day. Though he likes LP, he hates the song.

Still about Mike, I really like him (was a huge Fort Minor fan) but still prefer Minutes to Midnight style, Chester singing alone. Love this, though. Mike alone.

Yes, Busta Rhymes was great but in my opinion, Mike was a better rapper in the song.

Anyway, back on topic, I'm not too keen on the song. They can do much better.

To me, the best example of what LP needs to focus on more is Numb. It had a nice "new" feel to it because of the beat, Chester was able to greatly use his voice, both with soft and high notes. And Mike's voice didn't feel like it was thrown in like it is in some, it was actually woven into the song.

Well, It was different. It's not what i think of when I hear the name "Linkin Park", but I still liked it.
I don't think i have much more to say.

I must say, LP have been going downhill for me. Their older stuff is so much better IMO. I can barely stand new Linkin Park stuff tbh. And this song is no different.

Heh, it's a matter of opinion. The old fans hated Minutes to Midnight, the critique and people who used to hate them say it was their best.

I personally prefer this new "style" by far. The old was just this. Over and over.

I had a huge typo in my previous post, edited. And wow Vas, you like the new style more? 0_o So you would rather listen to something like Leave Out All the Rest then One Step Closer?

Yeah. I still like the old stuff, but prefer the newer.

Opinions modify with with time. Right now I could probably name 5 bands I like more than Linkin Park.

Yeah thats true, better bands have come up, they just don't match up with some other amazing bands. I'll always like them for some reason though.

Ugh, I completely hate the MTM style. The only slow music I wanna listen to is R&B, plzkthnx >.> I much rather their old style. If they continue with their current style, I may not even like them anymore (but still love their first 2 albums). I mean, there's actually an all metal band that I love more than Linkin Park, & for me to be sayin that is just unexpected. I take my nu metal/hard rock/rock rap listening elsewhere.

Saying you'll stop listening to them won't make them go back to their old style.

Actually, famous music is not necessarily good music. I'd much rather listen to Tomahawk (thank you Cath) than Britney Spears. If they aren't influenced my money, they'll insist in this new sound.
