well of course there's some chance of predicting the future correctly, just by fool luck. people just tend to blow its improbability out of proportion (how in the world could you guess [something hard to predict]? well, with a combination of luck and intuition/study), and never notice the myriad instances of incorrect predictions.
oh, my other glory moment is when i correctly predicted that 63 tails and 37 heads would occur in 100 coin tosses (the chance of this happening is absolutely miniscule, being about a quarter of a percent chance, if i remember correctly).
