Online Competitions

This is a thread where we can discuss the likes of the worldwide Wi-Fi competitions that are held twice per month, you can give your opinion about it, or just post your time and compare to others.

I"ll start of by saying that i very disliked the last one where you had to knock the spinning topmen of the arena, because it was tideous and boring, and i preferred ones like when you got to drive around a course with bomb karts and such. Anybody care to elabourate?

I haven't been on them for a long time, the reason being my Wii Remote has run out of the batteries it was using and I haven't got any more.

Some of the ones I tried were fun. I actually had a really good time on one back in January I think, where you had to collect a bunch of coins in Funky's Stadium.

But the most fun one i've tried is the current competition, where there was a bunch up mushroom jumps to cut over gaps in Yoshi falls.

And i could see how you could think that comp would be fun, jumps galore P:

There was one where you had to collect all these coins in order to win something. It was held in June.

I think that one was the SNES battle course one, i disliked that one, or maybe it is one where you had to drive past all the quackers...

I haven't participated in ones of these competitions since January with a friend of mine. Now seeing I might get my own copy, I'll get to participate all the time. x3

You should get your own, it's a brilliant game, and these competitions are quite entertaining imo |3

i just started getting into the competitions and i tried the yoshi falls one and i can some it up in one word...hopeless.

i simply cant use that steering wheel well. i got like 1:20 or something it sucks.

I forget my time for that comp, it was much higher then 1:20 though, i can tell you that XP.

And i dislike like those who don't use the wii wheel, it takes out half of the fun of the game really :/

I use the Wii Remote with the Nunchuk for most of my races, Wii Wheel for online competitions, or the Gamecube controller for miscellaneous reasons. It's like I'm actually driving...without a liscence. |3

I know. It was a bit too easy for me. Who doesn't like murdering little crabs? I sure like it. :3

Don't like competitions, so can't really tell you any.

the one that just ended yesterday was the bowser castle one that was supposedly 'made harder'

i didnt see the point! it was a frickin time trial that i could do in 1 player mode on the game!

True but it's used to be far more trickier. I think I did good on it. I don't remember my time though.
But, it was hard in my opinion.

last one i tried was the topman one... AGES ago...

I remember that one richy d: i loved that one. As for the bowsers castle one, adding one thwomp and calling it harder frustrates me D:
