"In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers."
Quentin Tarantino's new movie. Having only seen Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction previously, I have to say, this is another excellent, if not masterpiece of a movie. I don't think it's as good as PF and RD, but it's not far behind.
It's amazing how he actually gets an audience to laugh hysterically at the horrifying, brutal and almost demonic violence displayed.
It may all seem silly, and it is, but if you think about it, this movie is incredibly clever. The title says it all. Bastards. Are they heroes, or just as bad as the Nazis?

I've been a fan of Quentin Tarantino's movies since Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favorite movies so I'll be seeing this. I love the guys wacky sense of black humour.

From the looks of the commercials it probably is,but I wont know till I see it this weekend....or until someone posts that it is.

Who is Til Schweiger? I've never heard of him although he does look familiar. I think he was the bad guy in the movie King Arthur.

To clarify, the movie is kind of like an adventure/drama/comedy set in WWII.
Think of it as a revenge War movie.

Brad Pitt is one of the best actors of his generation. I think he started of as a model before he became an actor.

I saw the movie last night (late night movie watchers unite) and I'll tell you, anyone who's mind it has even crossed to see this movie needs to get up and go. Tarantino is a genius, end of story. It's also great if you love seeing nazis blown apart and mutilated then scalped.

Pitt's performance is godlike. The way he pronounces 'nazis' is nothing short of awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed the film.

I can't wait to see it, I've always enjoyed Tarantino's sense of black humour since his debut as a director in Reservoir Dogs.
