If you traveled through a black hole what would happen?
Would you pop out another then get sucked back in?
If you kept popping in and out would you eventually get stuck in the same spot?
Would you come back out the same one?
Would you travel to another one right away or would it take time?

I've been thinking about this and nobody seems to have any answers.Smile

You would appear to be frozen in the event horizon if someone outside the hole looked at you, but you would really be crushed and killed by the gravity.

Unfortunately despite all the sci-fi events that could take place, the crushed to death seneario is the one that would most likely happen, though until we send something into a black hole we'll never know for sure.

But if you could, in like, a pressure proof spaceship or something,I just wonder what it would be like. Any ideas?Anxious

The gravity in the singularity of a black hole is infinitely strong. You would still die. You would have no volume. You would be 0 dimensional. If you want to bring scifi stuff into this, I think that this should be moved to General Chat.

If by some miracle you could survive in a spaceship able to withstand the changing pressure in the Black Hole, you'd be trapped in it. If you were pulled unwillingly into the thing, what makes you think you can get out on your own with the little to no amount of rocket-fuel you have left.

Yes, if Syfy is being brought into this, to GC it goes. IMO, this isn't exactly a D&D question, this is more of a "What if" not a "Do you think, blah, blah blah is better etc." kinda thing. Besides, isn't D&D supposed to be about serious, debatable questions?

I'm not to sure what would actually happen... But just thinking if you would be crushed by it, what about the space crafts in space? They are not crushed by that stuff... if that's what were talking about.

Black Hole, doesn't it stop time or something like that? Making a wrist watch stop working. I was watching in class about this one time, they said nothing about bone crushing.

Curry says it best.
Although, it would be intresting to see what happens if you did somehow survive.
Also, I read this ages ago. I don't know how reliable it actually is.
But they said there is no proof black holes actually exist.
Again, I read that ages ago. I could care less wether they're real or not.

Yeah, I like Curry's idea of death completely going towards the black hole.

Whatever happens, you wouldn't live to tell the tale if you did get sucked into one.

I has me own theories.
Black Holes are planets (scientifically backed) so you would be crushed down to a miniscule size
JSYK, black holes are smaller than an atom. There's no 'going through a black hole' as it's simply a tiny massive planet

^Astronomy fail.

Black holes are what result when a giant star implodes. Planets need to be of a certain size to be considered such. Need I remind you of Pluto? What science backs your claim? Also, Black Holes can be much larger or much smaller than an atom. From what I've read, they're fairly diverse.

They are tecnically planets, not portals. I was using basic terminology. They are actually extreme neutron stars

...Black holes are not planets in any form.

A black hole is an area in space with a large gravitational pull.

Actually balck holes form into planets when they collide with each other, said so on the science channels. the only way you survive going into a black hole is to be going at a massive speed faster than the speed of light, becuase they have a gravity pull strong enough to bend light around them. Thus making it impossible to see them giving them the name black holes.
