Well, I have decided that I am going to buy pokemon soul silver first, but I was wondering if I should even pre-order it. I pre-ordered pearl and went to get it the same day it came out and it was on the shelf. Same thing for pokemon platinum. What do you guys think?

I think you should pre-order.

Yeah, pre-order it so you know you can get it when it comes out.

Besides, a huge amount of people are gonna be buying these games, Pokmon fanatics or not. A lot of them will be buying them just for the nostalgia factor, it would seem.

I'd say don't, because the games probably won't sell out on the first day.

If I pre-order it would be online so I would not get it for a few days. I believe these games have a way better chance of selling out than when diamond and pearl came out. Gold and silver were the best pokemon games ever made. Which gets me thinking that I should pre-order.I will more than likely pre-order. At least I know that I will get the game. Thanks everybody.

And Forgotten_Scars, pre-ordering is not a waste of money. You just put some money down or pay the full price. At least that is how it is when I pre-order.

Ordering video games online is usually cheaper anyway, even with delivery.

i say its a waste because you're paying all that money when you could do something very simple to save it:
1) wait for it to come out
2) dont buy it the very first day
3) forget about it for a few weeks and let the price drop
4) go buy it when the price has lowered
always worked for me

No, I highly doubt Pokemon will be sold out. If you pre-order like you put down money, the reserve it and you pay the difference then sure. If it costs extra to preorder than no go.

Pokmon games don't really drop in price...at least, not until a new generation comes out. Then they drop about 30 percent. But that takes too long.
Just do what Volke's suggesting; buy the game online so it's cheaper.

When I pre-order I do it online. I do not pay any extra money either. If it costs less in a store then I would get it at the store, but it is a little cheaper online and I do not have to go to town (I live in the country, so I am not going to town just for a game). I am going to end up pre-ordering. It does not bother me to wait a few days. The biggest wait is when the game comes out. Thanks everybody.

Well I imported HG, however I am going to purchase both games with pre-orders when they come out in English. I love HG it's so awesome, just caught Lugia down in the Whirl Islands today that was awesome within itself.
