Last Stand (Vandel Buster RP)

The time was the Dark Age. A time when humans were met with a major obstical that thretened to destroy every human on the planet. The Vandels. A spawn of darkness itself, these demons were born onto this world with one goal: Destroy every human. No one knows what created the vandels or why, but they wanted us dead all the same.
In this age, a new profession was established, the Vandel Busters. These men and women all stood for humanity and justice and sought to wipe out the Vandels and their evil legions of monsters. They mastered an energy all their own, the Divine Power, and fought back against the evil spawns. Among this group of people were the Zenon Warrios. A Buster group so powerful and dangorous, that a large bounty was put on their head, and soon, they became the number one target for all Vandels in the world. A powerful vandel named Beltorze then challenged these warriors and defeated them. At this point, it seemed like Humanity's only hope had been wiped out.
But before the Zenon Warrior's disappeared, they passed their soul weapons, their saiga, down to a boy named Beet. This boy grew and established the Beet Warriors, and soon took up the torch dropped by the legendary group that fell before them. Led by this new hope, the Beet Warriors soon destroyed the Vandels one by one, and soon, destroyed the evil force, and ended the terrible dark age.

Or, so that was what was supposed to happen.

During the Zenon Warrior's fated battle with Beltorze, something went wrong. The one thing, a shot from the groups sharpshooter, that allowed Beet to stay alive was disrupted somehow. Once that had happened, the Zenon Warriors were killed, and so was young Beet. The savior of the world had died.

20 years have passed since the greatest hope for humanity died, and humanity is being pushed to the edge. A Vandel king rose from the masses, and under his command, the Vandels were eliminating humanity. As humanity draws ever nearer to extinction, one final hope remains. One final chance for humanity to live and destroy the Dark Age once and for all. This is the Last Stand.


(Right then, apart form the very long intro, this RP is going to be a bit different for me, in the sense that it'll be a bit more complex. First, let me explain just a few things.

Level:
Each buster will have a level. This level is increased by slaying monsters and Vandels. Here's a rough estimate on how the levels work:
1-10: 'Newbie' Buster. The Buster Jacket, the Buster's official uniform, is gotten at level 10.
11-20: Novice Buster. Generally where fighting styles and divine attack styles develop.
21-30: Average Buster. Generally goes after lower level vandels and medium level monsters. This is also the level area where Busters are most likely to lose their lives.
31-40: Advance Buster. This is where Busters begin to devlop Saiga, and possibly first class divine attacks. Level 40 is the minimum requirement to join the "Broad Busters", the Buster Police force.
41-50: Veteran Busters. These busters team up and go against high level monsters and Vandels.
50+: Never seen in the story, but assumed to be Buster Legends. I believe some of the Zenon Warriors may have been in the 50's.

Generally, I'll want you guys to stay within 5 levels of my character to start, unless you need to be higher or lower for your background, such as if your character is a Broad Buster or a new buster.

Divine Attack:
Keeping this brief, this is a Buster's magic. It allows them to launch magic attacks with one of five elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Light (Note: Please stay away from Light, as it's generally considered to be the hardest element to master). You may pick one element for your character to specialize in, unless your character specializes in the divine attack, in which case you may use all five, but no normal weapon specialization. There are also First Class Divine Attacks, which can be done when you've learned an element fairly well. They use a lot of divine energy, and are generally a finishing blow. A specialized First Class attack can take on a unique shape.

Saiga:
Useable when you've mastered an element. These are phsical weapons that busters keep within their bodies. They're based on one single element (IE, Burning Lance is a fire saiga). They use MASSIVE amounts of divine power over time, and are generally just used as a finishing blow. You may start with one if you wish, or you may learn to make one as you go along, or you can simply not use one. I don't really care either way.

Name: Roy Stevens

Skills: Roy specializes with Shields. He's very strong despite not being very muscular, and he's always had a knack for guessing what divine attack or dark attack huamans and vandels use. He's also quite good at hand-to-hand combat.
Weapons: Roy uses a large circular shield. Despite many people believing shields can only be used for defense, Roy uses his for offense mostly. He uses it like a club, and with many different grips on the inside of it to allow him to swing it many different ways. He also can charge lightning through it to make anyone who touches it get a devestating shock. Roy also wears steel gauntlets, increasing the power of his punches even further.
Divine Attack: Lightning. His first class Divine Attack is Bolt End, a varient on the Burst End, Frost End, and Tornado End attacks, Roy compressed an immense amount of lightning energy into a small ball, and can release it at point blank range, allowing to transfer 100 million volts to a single target, and a strong jolt to any within five yards of the target. If mishandeled or used when he is injured, it could potentially kill him.
Saiga: Tower of Thunder. A lightning based saiga that takes the form of a tower shield, this shield will prduce a devestating shock to whoever touches it other than Roy, and can focus Roy's Divine Energy into a cannon-like blase, annihilating anything in front of it. It has a massive kick, and the shield has spikes in the bottom of it to counter this. Also, it can fold out into a very long spear which fits to Roy's forarm. Roy calls this 'Lightning Rod Form' and if the tip pierces an enemy, it will allow Roy to deliver a finishing blow by shocking the target with 250 million volts of electricity.
Personality: Roy has always been energetic and friendly, but there's always been something empty inside of him that's made him somewhat depressed at times.
Appearance: Roy wears a red buster jacket and leaves it open. Underneath is a strong, leather undershirt colored black. He wears greay trousers and a pair of brown boots. His gauntlets are a silver color, and his shield is colored black and gold and carried on his back. Roy has a long scar across one of his eyes, and that eye has a white pupil. The other eye is hazel. His hair is left spike and brown.
History: Roy has been a wanderer ever since he joined the busters at age 20. When he was only level 14, he picked a fight with a five star vandel, and it left him with the scar on his face. He was saved by a group called the Arc warriors, and was an apprentice in the group until most of its members were slaughtered by a powerful seven star vandel. After that, Roy decided to go after smaller targets, determined to avenge his fallen comrads and end the dark age, leading him to Trowana, and Grineed's Black Horizon.

Skills: Sky is known for her incredible speed. She's outrun many of the quicker monsters, and has escaped with her live intact many times in otherwise unsurvivable situations. She specializes in the Divine Attack, but can also use a pistol well enough to use it for a support weapon.
Weapons: Sky uses a specialized revolver. She can load rounds made of her divine power and fire them very well. She has quite a memory, so she can spin the barrel to fire whichever round she wants first, or last. She also carries around a dagger just in case. Lastly, she has a bag of small bombs that can be charged with Divine Attack powers and set on a delay.
Divine Attack: Sky can use every single element of the Divine Attack, even light. She primarily uses two different first class attacks. One is a dummy attack, used to defeat lesser vandels or to buy time to compress her divine energy for her true finish. Her dummy attack is called Ice Shell and is a Water type Divine Attack. This freezes the water in the air around a vandel in a fraction of a second. Lower level vandels may not even be able to break out of the shell created, depending on how humid the air is. If it's too dry, however, Sky cannot use this attack. Her true First Class Attack is called Tempest Fury. It's a wind based Divine Attack and compresses the wind into five or six powerful spears made of compressed tornadoes to skewr the enemy to death. She has also been working on a Light Based First Class Divine Attack, but has yet to master it.
Saiga: None as of yet.
Personality: Sky is cheerful and upbeat. She's always happy to make a friend, but will fight relentlessly. She's very defensive of her friends and team and is generally the first to take a risk when fighting a vandel.
Appearance: Sky has bright red hair pulled back into a pony tail with a few strands hanging in front of her face. She wears a mostly white buster jacket over a long sleeve sky blue undershirt. She wears dark green trousers and brown boots. She has her BB Badge, but doesn't tend to wear it on her outfit, as she's more of an undercover BB. Her Revolver is kept in a holster on her right hip, and her dagger on her left thigh. Her pack of bombs is kept attached to the back of her trousers on a belt.
History: Sky has been a Vandel Buster since she was 15. She left the house as soon as possible to go end the Dark Age as she told her parents. They didn't approve, but that didn't stop her from leaving anyways. She was in several Buster Groups for quite some time, but never found a place to settle down. Currently, she's a BB, or a Broad Buster. This is the Buster Police force who make sure that Buster's don't abuse their powers. Normally BB's need a saiga, but due to her skill with the divine attack, she was an exception. Recently, she was pinned down in Trowana due to the massive amounts of monster attacks that's kept many people trapped in the Black Horizon. Sky is currently searching for a Buster Group to travel out of the city with to finally clear out this dark age.

Divine attack: Lightning,no first class attacks though

Saiga: Death from the clouds,a ball of lightning that can be formed into a sword and a shield or a spear,but the ball can also be used in it's form to create a blast of electricity.If shot into the sky,it will create a wild thunder storm that will strike at random directions,but not hit Jack.


Personality:A man that will not stop until he has done his job.He will not let anything slow him down and he must do it perfectly.Which means he hates people that mess up and that are wounded.He will not help those that slow him down.Though he is caring to his team mates after a mission is complete.

Appearance: Fit man with noticeable muscles,has dark hair and hazel eyes.Wears lose clothing to help him fight more easily.Has a scar on the back of his neck that is shaped like an X.He has a tattoo on his both of his arms that are snakes striking their prey.

History: He lived a happy young life until he was about 16 when a group of vandel's attacked his home town.Many we're killed,he fought his way to freedom while the town was being under attack.He was stopped by a low level vandel,that was his first face to face encounter with one.He fought hard,almost dying from a blow to the back of his head which left the scar.On the verge of death a team of busters came to save him.He joined the busters when he turned 19 after enough physical training.

Right, two things.
Firstly, you forgot this history. Please put that in.

Secondly, a Saiga isn't a special attack, it's quite literally a weapon from within. A Buster uses their divine energy and their soul to form a weapon that they make by pulling an orb out of their chest (Probably their soul) and forming their divine energy around it. Here. Those things in the corner and in the guys hand are all saiga.

Name: Dakkben Loridas

Skills: Is quite adept using his broadsword to quickly defend himself and to dispatch Vandels. He also has a skill of tracking various beasts as well as Vandels if necessary.
Weapons: His broadsword, Hellblazer as well as his own Saiga. The Hellblazer is roughly six feet long, almost a foot wide, several inches thick. Made out of a metal with a extremely high melting temperature, it is a wonder that the metal can be molded into a sword. The hilt itself has been modified to allow Dakkben to weild the broadsword singlehandily as well as two-handed for more power.
Divine Attack: Element Fire. He can unleash a devastating area attack called Aftershock by concentrating extremely high levels of fire element into his broadsword, then jumping high up and thrusting the broadsword into the ground. The fire element will 'splash' in all directions and affect anything within its range.
Saiga: Armour of the Fiery One: Dakkben would encase himself in solidified fire element, reducing the damages he would sustain and greatly increasing his strength. One side effect is the armour would actually boil the user from itself out, so it would be used for limited times only. His broadsword is also affected by the Saiga as well, turning into a flaming sword capable of shooting out several fire spheres at once. Most of time, Dakkben's head isn't covered by the armour.
Personality: Usually a overally kind person, at most times, he would simply put try to solve the problems presented to him. But his kind personality is matched by his firce determination in combat to defeat any Vandels he encounter.
Appearance: His rare condition of his eyes to be seemily of three colors in diffrent situations. His eyes would appear to be blue in normal, neutral, in combat, his eyes would be usually colored blood red. But in another situation, his eyes would be colored light green in a moment of great satisfaction. His hair is usually brownish short. He doesn't wear the Buster Uniform, and instead wears leather boots, blue reinforced denim jeans, a dirty black shirt along with a toughened hide jacket from a Vandel. His right shoulder of the jacket has a skull of a Vandel on it, along with some spikes. Usually, if the going gets rough in combat, he would simply take his jacket off. He has a sheath for his broadsword strapped diagonally on his back.
History: Born into a family constantly running to keep away from the Vandels, his mental and physical has been conditioned into constant struggle for survival since age two. At nearly ten, Vandels finally caught up to Dakkben's family while Dakkben himself was gone foraging for food. As he returned, his entire family was slaughtered, his father was found with his own sword impaled into his chest. He removed his father's sword and walked in one direction for days until a group of hunters found him. After since, he remained with the group of hunters, learning to use the broadsword his father once had. As well as learning to use the power within himself to further extend his strength to defeat the Vandels. He left the group of hunters to advance himself further through constant hunting of the Vandels(Explaining how Dakkben got to lv.33).
In his hunts, he heard of a group of people with various powers that can defeat the Vandels, Dakkben went to join the group in his goal of exterminating every single Vandel.

pwnthemonkeys, that wasn't quite what I meant by a soul weapon, but it'll do. Once you put an accaptable history in, you're good.

SUPERMAN5, interesting idea for a saiga. You're in.

Skills: His main speciality is either sharpshooting with knives, which is 100 accurate up to 100 metres, and he's pretty good at being reckless with a sword, trying to put the opponent in a critical condition before they have the oppurtunity to attack. He is also okay at blocking with it, but not too good.
Weapons: He has a sword which he always keeps on him. He also has a cursed bag of knives that never runs out. He knows not how it works, he just likes that it works.
Divine Attack: Fire. His first class attack is that all his knives suddenly burst into flames and explode on impact with anything. They then all fly out of his bag and smash into his enemies. He can also throw them himself. However if he was to use this whilst confused or otherwise disabled it can simply fly into anyone, friend or enemy, leaving only him alone.
Saiga: His Saiga is basically like a surfboard, but it's on fire, and flies. He uses it to smack into his enemies and he often just beats them with it if nothing else works. He also uses it in combinationwith his sword to land a devastating blow.
Personality: He is generally quite angry, but is good at keeping in that anger. If it was ever to erupt, it would make him a whole lot more powerful but it would also take away all his sense of reasoning and sense of self-preservation, sending him in a killing frenzy.
Appearance: Long brown hair, and wore what was once a nice blue and green buster jacket, but is now ripped and bloodstained. He wears no shoes, but wears suprisingly white socks.
History: He has a long for victory since his last defeat, at the hands of a seven-star vandal. It gouged a large hole in his side, and ripped his buster jacket. He fell into a hole and the vandal couldn't find him and so left him to die. He recovered however and seeks a remach with the only who has ever beaten him. He has lost his family in the battle against the vandals, and wishes to join the effort to wipe them out.

Just one thing with the above bio. You shouldn't specialize in all weapons. Pick one or two to specialize with. Also, "Average" weight won't fly. Just pick a number, it really doesn't matter.
The choice of saiga is... interesting, but I won't disallow it.
Fix the skills and weight and you're good to go.

Something else I realized I never explained were vandle stars, but let me just quickly explain:

Stars are the Vandel equivalent of Levels. Depending on how much destruction a Vandel has caused, they might earn a star, which is a glass sphere that is wedged into their left arm. Basically, it's a vandel's pride and joy. They'd pretty much rather lose their life than their stars. The rankings generally go:
1 - 3 stars: Weak Vandles, Buster groups in the 20 levels usually take these guys easily.
4 - 5: Average Vandels. These guys are generally a match for mid level buster groups.
6: Strong Vandel. Usually taken by a higher level buster group, these guys are pretty tough.
7: Top Ranked Vanels: Buster Groups in the level 40's generally have a hard time with these guys.
8: The top ranked Vandel, or the Vandel "King". Only one Vandel has ever achieved 8 stars.

"Vandels!" A red headed girl shouted. "Vandels at the front gate!" She ran along the doors at a popular inn, banging on all the doors. "Any Busters get to the front gate!"
Roy groaned as he rolled out of his bed. He stumbled upwards and quickly threw his buster jacket on. It'd been a long night for him, less because of vandels and monsters, and more because he got into a few drinking contests. He rubbed his face as he grabbed his shield, slipped on his boots and stepped out of his room. As he expected, it was probably two in the morning judging from the darkness outside. The girl who woke him was nowhere in sight, but other busters were beginning to emerge from their rooms.

Jack was heavily asleep,but once he heard the shouting and pounding he awoke, grabbing his shield and sword.He immediately got out ready and began walking towards the gates in a hurry.

Darren surveyed the approaching Vandels with a keen eye. From his perch, he could see them all, relentlessly charging. He took a knife out of his bag, and took aim at one of them. He struck it directly in the heart.
"Bullseye!" he cheered, as they started to tumble around the felled one, crushing a few.
"Easy targets. There doesn't look to be any over two stars," he remarked, and picked off a few more.

Name: Insilo Fiar.
Age: 27
Gender: Male.
Height: 6'2.
Weight: 165 Lbs.
Level: 32

Skills: Insilo is an incredibly fast man. He may be growing in age but his reflexes, speed, stamina, etc. have not been hindered and his performance in battle is still as good as when he fought when he was younger, if not better due to experience. In battle he can out maneuver almost any enemy he may be fighting. Insilo may not be as strong as his comrades but his speed is something that cannot be matched. Insilo is extremely skilled with his two katanas and midly skilled with his two small daggers.

Weapons: Insilo uses two Katanas, which he is very skilled with. One of the Katanas are painted dark red and the other light blue. With these he is a worthy oppenent in battle. He uses his katanas as if they were connected to him and can move swiftly with these. He keeps them across his back like a X shape in two scabbards. He recieved these when he was 12, from his Grandfather when a group of Vandels attacked. His secondary weapons are two smaller daggers, both black in colour, he isn't that skilled with these as he is with katanas. He recieved these at a small village he visited on his journeys.

Divine Attack: Insilo's can control Wind. His First Class attack is named Tornado Fire. He fires multiple small tornadoes at his enemy, the tornadoes surround the enemy and they simply spin them. It may sound minor but the attack can be intense and can spin Insilo's opponent at over 100 miles per hour, this alone could kill them, but if they survive he can simply kill them with his katanas as his opponent would simply not be able to defend themselves.

Appearance:Insilo has long, greasy dark brown hair down to his shoulders. He wears fairly casual clothes with a plain white t-shirt and black trousers, over these he wears a black buster jacket which is always zipped up when worn. For footwear he wears plimsoles for fast movement and stealth. He wears dark grey gloves on his hands for a tight grip on his katanas. He has a tatoo on his right arm of a Cheetah pouncing, representing his un-natural speed.

Personality: Insilo is normally very light hearted and is very social. He enjoys having company and having a talk with his comrades and friends. When in battle, though, there is nothing stopped him from destroying the Vandels. He hate them with passion and will fight to the death if need be. Although his light hearted personality Insilo can be quite withdrawn at times, normally because of thoughts about his first run in with the Vandels and his wife.

Saiga: None.. yet.

History: Insilo was travelling with his new wife, they had been married for around seven months. After the wedding they decided to go travelling together. Insilo was 19 at the time and his wife was 18. One day on their travels they were attacked by the Vandels. Insilo tried protecting his wife but the Vandels could not be stopped, the killed his wife and killed Insilo, or so the Vandels thought. They had severely injured him, it was miracle he was alive. He did not have the energy to move, so he lay there until a group of travelling Busters found him. They nursed him back to health. He stayed with them, training with his katanas every day as before the incident he did not really know how to use them effectively. After a few years travelling with the Busters and upping his level along the way the team decided to stop in a town, where Insilo currently resides.

Darren looked around to see if there was any that were over two stars, but coudn't see any. Suddely he felt a movement underneath him and saw a group of vandals trying to ram through the wall.
How the heck can they not see me? he thought. Oh well, all the better for me.
He jumped down, sword out to slice the first of the four open. The second charged, and got a gutful of sword for its effort. The third saw this as a lapse in defense, and made a lunge for his back. Darren swung the sword through it's comrade's insides and right through its neck. The fourth one, trying to signal reinforcements, collapsed in a messy heap with a knife sticking out of his back. Darren leaped back on to the wall. And watched the Vandels pass again.

As Dakkben heard the loud voices of the girl's warnings. His eyes snapped open in almost instant, his eyes color faded from blue into blood red. He got off his bed and put on his jacket and jeans along with his sheath with sword in. He opened the door of his room and stepped out. "Look like we got fun planned for us." He muttered as he glanced over to a fellow buster, Roy. "You lead, kid. I'll follow." He said as he motioned for Roy to take lead.

((Whoa, whoa. Camewel, don't spawn Vandels or monsters. I had a very specific idea of who was attacking the town. I only intended for there to be two or three Vandels, it's pretty rare for them to attack in groups, as each Vandel generally leads their own army.))

Roy scratched his head sleepily. He'd arrived at Trowana just recently, and he hadn't had any trouble yet. "I don't see what the big fuss is. Trowana's gate is one of the strongest in the world. There hasn't been a Vandel yet that could break it down."
"Hurry the hell up!" The female voice called back.
"Let's hurry so I can get back to sleep." Roy said. He left the inn and trotted through the city. It seemed calm, but when he got to the gate, he immediately saw the problem.
"The gate is buckling?" Roy said.
The gate's inner eyes slowly moved down to Roy. "There isn't much time, gather the other Busters." It said in it's deep, gravely voice.
"This is impossible, how can a few Vandels break through like this?"
"They've drained my Holy Shield somehow... quickly, grab the others! I can only hold for a few more minutes..."
"Alright! You heard the gate!" Roy shouted at the other busters who'd gathered. "Take up your weapons and get ready to fight! We can't let this city fall, it's all we have left in the Black Horizon!"

((Did I mention that the gates were alive? Because they are.))

Dakkben got up from Roy's left he noticed the buckling gate. "Oh...that isn't good..." He muttered to himself as he unsheathed his broadsword. "Well, last one to kill a vandel pays for lunch." He said as he took a defensive stance.

Name: Akomo Torama

Level: 28
Skills: Akomo's skills lie in his athleticness, speed, and flexibility. Being quite small, he has always been underestimated for being weak. Akomo uses his abilities with two swords, each having a chain with spikes on the bottom to entangle, snare, and slow vandels and other creatures. With this combonation of deadly skills and weapons, he is a dangerous opponent, and a valuable ally.
Weapons: Akomo carries two swords, one of his swords was forged by his father, while the other was forged by his brother. Both of them are unique from any other sword, as a tradition in his family. His sword would be drenched in his own blood, and contain his ferocity within, this sword was called Kirona, the blade is blood red, while the handle is black with velvet straps on it. The chain is black, with each spike red from his own blood. Kirona's ability in battle is on contact, the opponent feels the burns of fire on their skin. Kirona is the main blade Akomo uses. The other blade, was an icey blue color, all around, the handle was white, with red straps on it. The chain was silver, with the spikes being black. This sword was called Ishoma, it was a representation of the pureness in Akomo's heart, and Kirona's counterpart. Ishoma's ability is rather odd, for a slice by Ishoma, would heal the wound.
Divine Attack: Fire, Akomo transforms Kirona into a pure blade of fire, and can channel as much fire through it as he can. And can wield it just as a normal sword, without any burns being made to himself.
Saiga: Akomo does not have a saiga.
Personality: Akomo's personality is gentle, and kind hearted - outside of battle that is. In battle, Akomo is ferocious, he almost loses the gentle side and it's almost like an alter-ego, he is an amazing ally in battle, and outside of battle, and an opponent to be feared.
Appearance: Akomo has slick, short-white hair, and a buster jacket that he keeps wide open. Underneath his jacket is a black t-shirt, with the words 'Torama' in red. He wears dark-blue jeans, and sneakers.
History: Akomo has a troubled history, his family was a fighting family, but only his brother was a buster. At the age of nine, Akomo's uncle and aunt were killed by vandels, his family were able to kill off the vandels, and soon Akomo developed a hatred for them. At the age of eleven, his hatred started to increase, so his father crafted him Kirona, to contain his hatred and ferocity, and to use it to his advantage in the battle-field. At the age of twelve his parents were killed by vandels that infiltrated his home, ripped to pieces, and eaten right infront of him. His brother was gone at the time, and the vandels went straight for Akomo. He drew out Kirona, and lost himself, and slaughtered the Vandels, and cut them into pieces, so they could feel the fate that his parents were given. His brother returned home to Akomo expelling flames from his body, and so he took him in and helped train him. His brother crafted him Ishoma, so that he could control himself, and hold onto his gentleness, but the healing effects of Ishoma made it not usable for battle, so he stuck to using Kirona, but because of Ishoma, he was able to control himself better. Once Akomo was thirteen, his brother died by the hands of a large vandel. Akomo lost himself again, but was able to control himself, he killed the vandel and joined the busters. He excelled through the levels very fast, and now at the age of nineteen, he is wandering around, looking for a buster group, to finally end this evil.
