I made that only in August? I could swear it was like, June.
The term was used because I didn't feel like saying "people who only post in teams" over and over. It caught on, and now everybody is familiar with it and uses it. The only person who's posted in this thread who I would consider a burrow is the OP.
"You managed to make a lot of T&C posters mad."
:/ Really, I don't like being super serious and whatnot, but if I made them mad because I said they don't have a shot at moderation or respect from "Forumers" (New term for forum peeps XD) unless they come out from hiding, I stand where I stood (apparently only) three months ago.
Again though, don't get me wrong. There are two kinds of respects, don't confuse them. When I say respect in this sense, I mean the knowledge and approval of everybody saying that they know how to lead; not respecting them as a member or person. I DO, as do most of us, respect them in that sense. That's where things are getting really mixed up. People are assuming that the "unearnable respect" is the respect they SHOULD have as a member of the site, and as a person. The "unearnable respect" is the respect that they can't gain in the teams.
It's just like calling somebody in the countryside a redneck. Sure, it CAN be a degradation, but if the said redneck showed the world he wasn't, then the others would see that.
The entire point of that post in that topic was basically to say this:
You can have 50000 team posts and have no shot at moderating teams,
or
You can have less than 5000 forum posts, less than 1K teams posts, and actually MAKE the T&C mod team. That was the case of the infamous Superbird. He was basically completely unknown in teams, and despite not having even 1k posts, he made mod there. How? He spent time gaining the "unearnable respect" in forums.
That kind of respect truly is unearnable. You can't earn the respect; the respect is
given to you by others.
