how many of you can drive?

I finally got my license last November,and shortly after I learned one of the worst things about life.having to pay insurance...although it's not all bad,if I stay clean for another 2 years it will drop significantly.

anyways,although I have a license I don't have a car yet.my Dad said he will get me one for graduation but I'm not gonna get too excited because he promised a lot of things like this...

how about you guys,what's your driving situation?

I'm taking my permit test next week, actually.

I will have been driving for one year as of April 8th.

My parents pay for my insurance... I feel guilty about it when I think of it. I'll pay for it this summer, though.

Had my license for about two and a half years now.

Just got news my friend just failed her test. Went the wrong way on a one way street..

I've been driving since April/May-ish. And like oakland, I don't have a car. Though I would've had a small truck if I didn't drive my dad's van into a ditch last December.

Oh, this isn't about the heist. Nevermind.

I've had my temps since 2008, but I never got my licence because I don't have a car to drive.

Passed my driving test last January, got my car a year ago this month. A whole year now with my car without a single crash, lucky me.

Funny story involving my insurance though. My parents helped me to set it up, initially finding one firm offering �70 a month (through my dad as a named driver of the car). My mum thought she could find it cheaper, but couldn't and tried again with the first firm, which had now brought it up to �110. Because of their screw-up, they're helping to cover the unecessary �40 increase each month.

I can legally drive... but people still scream when I get behind the wheel. I swear, my family will never forgive me for hitting that duck. It wasn't my fault! D;

I can drive, but I hate doing it and I don't have a license. So... yeah. Don't know if that counts.

I can try and get my Temps now, and get my License. But, my mom says Im not ready, even though she asked me questions while she was driving and got all of them right.

I've got my learner's permit now. Just now startin' to learn the basics. I can drive to the store & back no problem so I guess I'm doin' pretty good. I did back into a pizza truck one day though, no major damage or anything; scraped the decal on the truck & put a spot ours but it wasn't anything major. Can't wait to get my license & stuff.

I don't even have my permit yet. Hopefully, I'll get it this Fall. I want to get through senior year first before I start worrying about getting my licence.

I'm on my 'learners permit'

Meaning I can drive whilst supervised by a person who has held their 'full' drivers license for 2 or more years. They have to sit in the front passengers seat though.

I can driver perfectly fine. I can't parallel park because I've never tried. But I know the theory of it anyway.

I'm a perfectly capable driver. Never had any accident in the 4 & an half years or driving & often drive on my own (even though its illegal) & so far I haven't been caught XD

I can drive, everyone can, but just like an 8 year old kid, I can and likely will crash.

It's a shame that I'm 16 and no one has bothered to teach me how to drive... >_>

lol pity, don't try that 'no-ones bothered to teach me' line on your parents; they'll probably say 'you didn't bother to ask' or something; its what my parents & sister always say.

Even though they always say 'well we'll go out & teach you whenever your ready' then do nothing. They know, that I'm prepared to go out WHENEVER they want. I don't have much to do, and can go at any time of day & do anything they ask of me.

They just never follow through with what they say & it pisses me off to no end, because somehow its my fault because they didn't know I was ready, when I'm constantly telling them I'm prepared to go out & get lessons, & they say they'll take me, they just need to go home & rest for an hour or two before we go because its usually after they've finished work; a week later, after constant baggering from me; they say its my fault because I didn't tell me I was ready.... I just can't win.
