Same tag two ways

I cannot begin to describe my incredible hate for the first one. The text is a wreck, and the colours just stink.

However, I really like the second tag. It's not too busy, and it's simple and good. Good job.

I'd have to agree with the first tag. Horrible text and the colors are meh. I can see what you're trying to do though.

Second one's awesome sauce.

That just made me smile Buggleton. The first one came after the second. More of an experiment then anything.

I still feel like the second is missing something though.

Oh and on the first, would it help if added some white and negative areas with better text?

I think the negative is what bothers me about it though... because when you make something negative, it completely reverses the depth. Thus anything that looks like it should be coming out of the tag looks like it's burying itself further inside.

Huh. Well I ran a blue black gradient on both for light color adjustment but liked it enough that I maybe I could turn it in to a typo.

Black to blue, or blue to black? One is gonna do what you want it to, one is gonna make the tag negative.

Negatives don't really appeal much to me. I suggest always making the stronger color the dominant one i.e Black over anything.

Blue to Black, partly cause I wanted my colors lightly muted cause of the c4d was.

the Black blue I think added colors that I didn't care for a on a white background.

Or you can try it yourself.

I actually like learning to work with negatives and morphing c4ds like that cause it can work really well in the creation abstract and doing backgrounds for my texture tags. Though it's been a while since I just did the gradient and left it.

I dunno dude. I think it just need more color. Like the splatters could have been a diff color
