Best Sequel Ever

The main issue with the newer Star Wars trilogy is that it's generally quite rubbish overall.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was pretty good, in my opinion. It was the third one that sucked.

Yeah the newer Star Wars Triliogy was terrible. I thought the third Pirates instalment was okay but like Matrix trilogy it would have been fine if they had left them as stand alone films.

Problem with the other 2 Pirates for me is that they went too far, to fantastical.

I would have to say The Dark Knight.

I thought Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was actually quite good. Haven't seen the third film yet, however.

It didn't have me raving, it wasn't a bad film but I wouldn't say it was a good film either, still a relatively enjoyable way to pass the time though. I preferred the original though and also have yet to see the third one.

I didn't think it was as good as the first one, but I did think it was good as sequels go. Better than I expected, at any rate.

I'm also waiting to see The Phantom Menace in 3-D (coming Feb. 10). Say what you will about the Star Wars prequels, I personally enjoyed them.

The only one I didn't enjoy was Attack of the Clones. I really liked the Phantom Menace when it first came out. Looking back I don't think it was as good as my younger self remembers but still decent.

Attack of the Clones did leave me wanting more. At least there was less of Jar Jar, and in Revenge of the Sith he doesn't even have a speaking part. I thought Revenge of the Sith more than made up for the lacking parts of Attack of the Clones.

I have yet to see it, I hadn't expected much from the first one and found it surprisingly good. I'll have to watch this one at some point.

Back To The Future II & III...I have mixed feelings about those. I know they had to make at least one sequel after the way they ended the first one, but I expected something a little bit more. Although it was kind of funny to see Michael J. Fox playing his own daughter.

Any thoughts on whether these belong in the "Best Sequels" or "Worst Sequels" thread?
