aculy its only basic for gimp users , it is also something i naver got the hang of in gimp. althow i am a photoshop user now i think i will save this tut untilsutch a time as i use gimp agen.

That's always been my prob with beginner tuts, trying to get a decent tag in a few steps, without having to download. A brush at least.

It's nice for something in so few steps. Definitely something that beginners could use, although it doesn't provide many different styles to learn from. I wouldn't mind a more advanced tutorial from you, Kevin, if you get a chance.

This is a lot easier then things I've been doing, but its also something new and I need all the practice I can get. I'll whip something up tonight with this. :D

OK yeah nvm this being a GIMP tut really messes with me. I'm sure it could be done perfectly anyway, but I don't have the knowledge to transfer the teachings over, for now.

Simple yet effective, although I think you might as well added some Grad. Maps for more unity but meh. Good result though.

Eh, thats next time. Gradient maps are kinda tricky in beginner tuts, especially if they don't understand color very well or how to adjust maps to met their needs.
