I'm still trying to make these Journal Skins for DA, but I've hit a roadblock. :S

That's the skin I'm working on at the moment. It mainly focuses around the background image with few foreground elements.

Add a crap ton load more subtlety. Or a crap ton more load good photomanip feel.
I find it just a little too imposing of a contrasted mess as is.

What could I add? Most of it would be covered up by the foreground in the journal.

Well instead of having that background, have a light texture in the bg to fill it, then do your layout, then start making tree's branch off of your stuff.
