I'm sure some of you have run into this before, you are watching an Anime and it gets really really good, and then you reach episode 25 or somewhere in the 20's and find out that is the final episode and there isn't anything after that. This at times does make me mad cause it such a good series and they didn't take it farther.
my favorites that have been short and i wish there were more in dept episodes or just more episodes in general are:
Special A Maid-sama -> Funniest Anime I have seen. Trigun Earl and Fairy Persona 4: the animation -> I know the series hasn't reached 25 yet but the way its looking so far i want it to go past 25 episodes.
Do you have a favorite anime that you have seen and you wish they would have kept going with it?
Short 25-26 episodes. That's actually about a double season length. XD
I can understand what you mean though, some shows end with plenty of space to carry on and yet haven't (still hoping for both a second season of HotD and a third of Spice and Wolf here.).
For genuinely short anime that I have enjoyed, I must point towards the 6-episode long FLCL. What I've seen so far of Time of Eve has also been really good.
That is true. Most of them Shonen types could learn from other shows to take a break to allow the manga to get ahead. I think Gintama's the only one that actually does that.
Since my last post, I started the currently airing, 8-episoder Black Rock Shooter. Liking it so far.

Yes. It happens to me frequently. I also hate when they don't finish anime series in English. This is happening a lot now with the whole issue with Tokyo Pop. It makes me just wanna....Rawr -3-
It's a pretty quiet forum here, so the mods won't rage at you over it.
Since my last post, I have now finished Black Rock Shooter. Some odd moments, mainly due to dragging out an alternate name reading thing for the first 2 episodes, but in general was really enjoyable.
Re is this anime called deadman wonderland. I thought that was a good anime, manga is better though, but it ended abruptly, and in a way that wasn't like the book... I believe they may make a secod season, but you never know...
Now if you mean a SHORT anime, not episode wise, hetalia, it's hilarious, but only 5 minutes long per video lol
On the topic of anime that are actually short (one episode / short episode), I recommend Fumiko no Kokuhaku, Pale Cocoon, Rain Town, She and Her Cat and Voices of a Distant Star. When it comes to 5-15 episodes, I really enjoyed Anohana(11), Ano Natsu(12), Baccano(13), Bakemonogatari(15), Daily Lives of High School Boys(12), FLCL(6), Highschool of the Dead(12), Ore no Imouto(12) and Usagi Drop(11). All personal opinions, of course. I absolutely loved Usagi Drop, but some people simply don't care about that type of anime.
As for this question, I'd murder someone for a new season of Chihayafuru, Cencoroll (well, new movie), Hajime no Ippo, Hanasaku Iroha or Highschool of the Dead without a second thought. Also, Toradora finished on a great note, but heck, I love it so much I wouldn't mind 100 new episodes of the characters' daily lives.
I'm going to throw out 2 extras on top of the above list: Time of Eve (6 episodes, normally about 17 minutes each) and Eden of the East (11 episodes, plus 2 movie sequels).
I initially had Eden of the East on my list, but ended up removing it. I really enjoyed the TV show, but I found the movies (and continuation of the story) incredibly disappointing. It felt as if the author had created a fantastic story and then didn't know what to do with it or how to actually end it.
Never seen Time of Eve, will give it a shot next week.
On Eden: I thought the movies were still pretty good, but were a bit of a dip from the series. Still concluded the story nicely though and I do hold the series as one of my all-time favourites.
On Time of Eve: Same people as Pale Cocoon. Need I say more?
I really wish OuranHSHC could of been longer... the same goes for Samurai Champloo, Gungrave and Vampire Knight
I could go on and on really but it won't do any good...

Code Geass was around 40 some episodes total split between two seasons, not really short. And I think HSotD got cancelled, manga isn't released anymore as far as I know. Not too many short animes that I have watched AND wished they were longer as the stories were wrapped up rather well. Plus I haven't actually watched any anime in quite somet time, been sticking to manga. So only one I can remember that I wish they continued would be Asura Crying.
