I suppose the only way to do it is to put all forums you like into your favourites and clicks the my boards link. I used to go between, my faves, gen boards, vid boards...now I just exclude FG and be done with.

I would love this. I'm tired of seeing an entire page's worth of Gaming News.
I usually just filter it to only the General Boards. I miss a few Video Game Board posts, but I don't care too much.

I wouldn't say a specific filter for GN. However I'm not against a filter users can customize themselves and filter their own specific forums.

Well, you know, this is a video games website.
A system where we can filter what forums we want is preferable. I, for one, like Gaming News, and wouldn't filter it.

But it'd still be nice to have the option, at least. For those who would use it.
Personally, I'm not so much into gaming anymore. I'd rather spend the little money I have on food, just because I need to eat. I still have my PS2 hooked up, and play all of the games on it. I just don't get bored with them. I don't feel much reason for buying any new games, since half the time they're so similar to something I've already played, anyway.
So, news on gaming doesn't really interest me, or have any purpose to me. I don't come to this site for news, anyway. I come here for the, though inactive, lovely community. I come here to make submissions occasionally. Not for updates on the gaming world.
There are plenty of other sites that do a much better job with gaming news, anyway. Sites that get more exclusive material, and sites that are better able to stay up-to-date. Even if I did want gaming news, I don't think I'd come to this site for it.
So, yeah. I'd still like this filter, personally.
Or even better, a fully customisable one, as Testy said.
