To install a mod,check the installation steps in the mod forums.If it's a forge mod,download forge and install it.

Here's how you install forge:
:Download and install winrar or anything like that
:Search %appdata% then go to Roaming folders then click .minecraft
:open the bin folder then open the minecraft jar file with winrar
:Delete the Meta-Inf folder inside then put all the files inside the downloaded forge zip into the minecraft jar folder.
:Open Minecraft and if it didn't crashed and the main menu includes the mods,it means you have succesfully installed forge.
:Close Minecraft
:The mods folder should appear inside the .minecraft folder.

And now to install a downloaded forge mod put the downloaded mod zip inside the mods folder.
