Just curious, I was watching the official trailer that FilmTrailerZone put up on YouTube and it looked alright, so I was just curious as to your thoughts and feelings on this.

I found the first one enjoyable but felt that the similarities to Battle Royale and The Running Man were too noticeable for me to enjoy it as much as I otherwise would have.

The books where a hell of a lot better. Couldn't stand the first one since I'd read the book first - things were a little... bleh for me. Dunno about this one. But I'll give it a chance.

That's surprising, and I thought you were only watching it for Jennifer Lawrence 
I think I might read the books, but I'm not sure. I would rather read a book series and then have a movie come out, rather than have the movie come out to provoke me to read the series. It irks me when people only read the books because a movie was made about the series.

The books were ok. I'm not a fan of all the romance. The third book was weak IMO. The first movie was alright, nothing to write home about. I'll see this if I don't have anything else to do.

I always here about the books and how they are/were so much better.
Which I don't doubt, but as far as this type of movie goes I prefer The Running Man & Battle Royale.
That being said, I usually keep myself up-to-date with current Movies/Films.
So like the first I will watch it, but I doubt I'll enjoy it too much.

A friend and I went to see the first movie because there really wasn't anything else to see and everyone was saying, "Oh this movie is so wonderful!" etc. So we decided to see it. I can definitely say it wasn't a bad movie, but it looked like they could've done better. I've never read the book, but after watching the movie I was sure that the book was better than the movie.
What has been your favorite movie of the year? At least so far.
