So I got a Gameboy Emulator on my PC and am trying to record my playthroughs with it. The only problem I have is that the video files are VMV which I have never heard of and a quick search on Google tells me no one else seems to know either. Does anyone know of an application that can play these files or a good file converter that is able to covert VMV?
My emulator is the VisualBoyAdvance.

If I remember correctly, and I might be wrong on this, you need to select AVI Recording instead of Movie Recording. You should then be able to choose what type of file to save the recording as.
Like I said, I'm not really sure about this.

Thanks. Still had to convert from AVI to MP4 but at least I had a program that could do it easily.
I'm going to do some Pokemon stuff. Try some challenges out and maybe do a Let's lay as soon as I figure out how to record me alongside of the video. Or just narrate after doing the play through. Right now still in trial stages just learning the emulator and how much I can tweak. Gotta make them awesome so I can get me a Legendary status on this site in the next few years.

That sounds great. I would do that if I could. Unfortunately, my old laptop goes super slow in Visualboy. I can play for like 10 minutes before it just freezes.

You can use audacity to record your voice alongside the gameplay.

Use a Gameboy Emulator for the PC which has recording features. I want to do it but being in college with 2 room mates causes problems. I'd need to figure out their schedules so that I don't distract or bother them plus fit it in between classes, socializing, work, and partying. That and I haven't ever done a recording or LP before so it might take awhile to get used to talking to myself while playing.
But I am thinking of doing a basic playthrough and then a few challenge playthroughs. I don't which ones or what they are called but the first one I am doing is probably the hardest.
